Anheuser-Busch Greens Its Hunts Point Truck Fleet
NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Anheuser-Busch has received funding to clean up the emissions from part of its fleet as it works on other cleaner trucking measures.
The company received a $150,000 grant from the U.S. EPA on behalf of the Northeast Diesel Collaborative to install advanced filtration devices.
Fifteen trucks from the company's Hunt's Point fleet, in the Bronx, will receive diesel multi-stage filter devices and closed crankcase systems. The multi-stage filters trap and reduce emissions by 70-80 percent, and the crankcase systems have been shown to prevent 100 percent of crankcase emissions.
