McCain Again Pledges To Send Unlimited US Troops To Iraq (VIDEO)

During an interview with Sen. John McCain on Monday's NBC Nightly News, Brian Williams noted that "the videotape clip of your comment about being in Iraq 100 years if need be, of course, is still kicking around," and then asked, "[G]iven your support for the surge and where you believe this nation is in Iraq today, where do you see it going and will your support be there for however many U.S. troops are required?"

McCain answered flatly: "Yes. And the fact is we are winning in Iraq."

In a speech last month, McCain predicted that the Iraq war would be "won" by 2013, but his comment to Williams suggests that he'll continue to send U.S. soldiers into battle even if his prediction is wrong.

Even in a interview he is wavering and stumbling. His arguments are also weak; tired of speeches - logic, since not your strongest point. On Obama - he is tax and spend, liberal etc. - we need a marshall kind of prorgam to be energy independent, which seems a spending program.
Accusation that he is actually fiscal irresposible - he will cut earmarks, which are about 0.5 % of budget, or a tiny amount on money needed for tax cuts he proposed. Overall hee seems all the time on defensive and playing bad copy cat with banners reframing and comparisons. Not much originality or creativity. Must say journalist or media dont ask either very challenging, investigating questions.
The smokescreen to highlight earmarks, like that amount would solve most problems, is just plain not true, Iraq appropriations, emergency funding, has also lots of extra funding, but is hardly addressed by the senator.

Actually McSame's son has served in Iraq. This from the April 7, 2008 edition of THE INDEPENDENT World, a UK publication:

"Jimmy McCain enlisted in the US Marines two years ago, at an age so young his mother had to fill consent forms for his medical examinations, and spent his Iraq tour in what was by then a largely subdued area, making house-to-house patrols and handing out footballs as gifts to residents.­"

Now, will he be a victim of repeated deployments and the back-door draft? That remains to be seen.
