He has four decades of campaign experience, ranging from a short stint running Gerald Ford's election bid in 1976 to two successful races on the presidential ticket....

Going further, McCain even told Hayes in comments heretofore unpublished that he'd consider Cheney for an administration post. Asked whether he'd be interested in Cheney had the vice president not already have served under Bush for two terms, McCain said: "I don't know if I would want him as vice president. He and I have the same strengths. But to serve in other capacities? Hell, yeah."

This is *EXACTLY* why Cheney should be impeached (and why McCain't should come in no better than 3rd in the general election).

Most people are unaware of this, but impeachment (in the House) and conviction (in the Senate) is not just about removal from office, but serves to act as a prohibition against that person from ever being able to "hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States." (See Art. I, Sec.3) Put another way, someone impeached would forever be barred from again serving as a "civil officer" in the federal government.

To their everlasting discredit and shame, Pelosi and Reid have put partisan politics and political expediency ahead of their oath to uphold the Constitution.

Yep. Georgie was on the radio today talking about the nuclear "crisis" with Iran and how he favors diplomacy (of course) but that all options are still on the table. I didn't realize we were in a crisis with Iran.

It's amazing how we seem to have all this military might to go around the world blowing people up, but we don't seem to have enough power to just defend ourselves and our allies, should the need arise.
