John Mccain

236.com:

John McCain gave a speech on the economy this morning. He railed against, among other things, the estate tax, which is imposed on "the transfer of the taxable estate of every decedent who is citizen or resident of the United States."

McCain, who has four children with his heiress wife Cindy, proposes reform. "The estate tax is one of the most unfair tax laws on the books, and the first step to reform is to keep it predictable and keep it low."

As much sympathy as I have for trust fund kids, it somehow seems that intergenerational poverty is substantially more unfair than the estate tax. We have an economy that all but guarantees that the children of rich parents will be rich and the children of poor parents will be poor, and this force of predestination creates a disincentive for Americans on both ends of the socioeconomic spectrum to participate productively in the economy.

How do conservatives reconcile their opposition to the estate tax with their brand of YOYO (you're on your own) economics? Socialism for the rich, capitalism for the poor. McCain has been a ward of the state ever since he was born on a naval base in Panama. He's known no other life outside of the communal societies of the U.S. Navy and Federal Government. He's a pensioner married to an heiress, the ultimate freeloading welfare queen.

Who are you kidding? John McCain isn't rolling in dough, his wife Cindy (18 years his junior) is. It's that sweet, sweet beer distributor money he's trying to secure. Cindy had a near-fatal stroke 4 years ago (blamed on her high blood pressure, though I personally wonder if her "past" drug addiction might have played a role). You know Cindy's daddy had to be smart enough to make sure that gold-digger John McCain signed one heck of a prenup before marrying only-child Cindy. If Cindy were to die of natural causes, who do you think gets control over the purse strings at last?

McCain's not even looking out for his kids, he's looking out for HIMSELF. They file taxes separately, wonder how many bank accounts she has that aren't "joint with rights of survivorship"? He doesn't claim the houses on his taxes from what I remember, which means his name isn't on the title, which I believe means he'd have to go through inheritance like any other relative (with a few eases for spousal relationship, probably) if she were to die. Tho he'd just probably put them in the kids' names instead so it still wouldn't show up on HIS tax records.

Let's hope his children inherit his estate REAL soon.
