Election Central:

Bobby Jindal, the 36-year old governor of Louisiana, is being taken seriously by the national press as a candidate on the shortlist to be John McCain's Vice President. No one doubts that he's a political prodigy -- his impressive resume includes stints as president of the state university system, a Congressman and now governor.

But one of Jindal's job titles hasn't gotten much attention -- and it just might prompt a few questions if his Veep candidacy gains steam: Exorcist.

I dunno about that -- he could do the evangelical revival tent circuit exorcising demons and I'd bet win the snake-handler vote!

Just add KY, OH, AL, MS, TN, AR, OK, SD, NJ, GA, MA, RI, FL, IN and PR to that list. They all have problems with the prospect of melanin in national leadership.

WHOA...not so fast!
0bama got more votes in the Alabama primary than Hillary, McPanders, OR Hickabee.

0bama - 300,319
Clinton - 223,089
Hickabee - 227,766
McPander - 204,867

Don't count the south out just yet... :-}

I'd take Georgia off that list. This state went for Obama BIG TIME in the primaries. McCain won't have the cakewalk this go-round that most Republicans have come to expect from the Peach State. In 2004 John Kerry got 43% of the popular vote here. Obama's campaign has awoken a sleeping giant in Georgia, and I have a great deal of confidence that Georgia will go blue this fall.

He'd come in handy as a side-kick for McCain when he chases Bin Laden to the gates of hell...

If Bobby Jindal hadn't "converted", he would not have had much of a political career, would he, running as a Hindi? Think about that for a moment before anointing him as a rising star.

Converts are always the biggest zealots. Jindal and Bob Novak are two examples of people who converted to Catholicism from other religions.

They are all snake oil salesmen, in one form or another.

We ought to be very careful about disparaging people's faith. I'm a strong Obama supporter and have cried fowl at how they've ridiculed he's church. Matters of faith ought to be respected wether we agree with them or not as long as they not inflict any harm on other non participants....

Trust me.........the country doesn't want Jindal. People in Louisiana are already screaming they want him out. He violated his own ethics reform with campaign money. He's not what the Repugs are trying to build him up to be.

It's as if they're saying.........nan, nan, we've got a minority too. How stupid is that.

Jindal is obviously the GOPs answer to Barack, and what makes it so funny is that they seem to have few qualms about it.
