I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Mccain Is Bush

It has been observed that one of Sen. John McCain's most foreboding obstacles in seeking the White House will likely be the lengthy paper trail that comes with a 25-year congressional career.

And so it is, perhaps, with the macro-theme of the general election: whether or not McCain is an extension of the George Bush presidency. The Senator has worked hard to dispel such a perception, pointing to various policy disagreements with the White House and lashing out against those who claim he would be Bush's third term.

But McCain's case is complicated by his own words from just three years ago. In a June 2005 appearance on Meet The Press, the Senator told moderator Tim Russert that, far from being at odds with the White House, he had "been totally in agreement and support of President Bush" on "the transcendent issues."

RUSSERT: The fact is you are different than George Bush.

SEN. McCAIN: No. No. I-the fact is that I'm different but the fact is that I have agreed with President Bush far more than I have disagreed. And on the transcendent issues, the most important issues of our day, I've been totally in agreement and support of President Bush.

McCain went on to insist that, on domestic policies, he and the president had butted heads - which is true on issues like combating climate change and campaign finance.

"But," he quickly added, "I will argue my conservative record voting with anyone's, and I will also submit that my support for President Bush has been active and very impassioned on issues that are important to the American people. And I'm particularly talking about the war on terror, the war in Iraq, national security, national defense, support of men and women in the military, fiscal discipline, a number of other issues. So I strongly disagree with any assertion that I've been more at odds with the president of the United States than I have been in agreement with him."

At the time of the interview, McCain was dismissing speculation that he harbored hopes of a White House run. But it was nearly accepted fact in Washington that he would eventually put his hat in the ring. An appeal to Republican voters, whom McCain had alienated with his streaks of independence following the 2000 election, was required for this to happen.

Now, however, that proximity to Bush could prove a detriment to McCain's electoral hopes. And rare is the day that he publicly touts the similarities of his policies and those of the White House.

"You will hear from my opponent's campaign in every speech, every interview, every press release that I'm running for President Bush's third term," McCain said recently in a speech in New Orleans. "You will hear every policy of the president described as the Bush-McCain policy. Why does Senator Obama believe it's so important to repeat that idea over and over again? Because he knows it's very difficult to get Americans to believe something they know is false."

It has been observed that one of Sen. John McCain's most foreboding obstacles in seeking the White House will likely be the lengthy paper trail that comes with a 25-year congressional career. And so ...

I haven't seen the McVid. Do I have to? Some pundit/ pony/ parrot is now Hardballing his kids through college on the theory of a desirable record by the john. His is the leadership that will "lead" us and our finest only to, never from war. Should you wish this, just be honest with the mirror.

Meanwhile, The American Renneisance is at hand!

MCain's experience is merely partisan. The person offers zero. Thats a party state. The lame shucks administration did nothing licit. Why should we ever once repose a stich of trust in the GOP again. When they speak of the dream, they mean their's. From shutting down the government and impeachment on divorce court perjury in the 90's, to lobbying The Supreme Count to ignore some 20,000 ballots to hypnotize three digit malcertification, this party catalogues on, it is hostile to the American way.

OUTLAW THE GOP

According to Wikipedia, Maverick means: a person with independence of thought or action, a non-conformist; or, in American use, a stray animal without an owner's mark on it. Maybe its time this term was retired, since it now seems to mean: a person with their head so far up the President's ass it is impossible to disengage themselves without exposing a flaming hypocrisy.

To paraphrase George Orwell from "Animal Farm"..."The creatures outside looked from McCain to Bush, and from Bush to McCain, and from McCain to Bush again; but already it was impossible to way which was which."

Ron Paul is to drop his presidential bid to support Libertarian, Bob Barr. Paul said he was going to, “campaign for Barr across the country".

Will this have the Nader effect? I hope that this will damage Mc Cain 10 times more than anything Nader dreamed of doing. The Republican Party is in shambles. I see it everyday on the faces of those that have stupid written all over their faces.

My sister is a Republican who voted for Bush the first time. I know she didn't the second, but didn't vote for Kerry. She says she wants to vote for a conservative. I'll mention Barr to her next time we speak. Bwahahaha. I think reminding our ubber conservative friends and neighbors of Barr's candidacy, in an offhand, oh you wouldn't really vote for him, kind of way, would be doing them and Obama a big favor. They can vote their conscience, and we can help elect (please God) Obama.

We are still talking about McCain being Bushes clone? I would want to let Americans know that, Mc Cain would make Bush look like Pope John Paul.
Here is what Pat Buchanan, one of those Conservative talk heads said about McCain..... I mean his own people know what America is into if McCain is voted President.

Its a pity.

I'm sure, at a certain age, fecal discipline becomes more important. OK, I'm the one who keeps saying we shouldn't be ageist, but some things just pop out at you.

Does McCain remind anyone else of an older (much older) Martini from One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, especially when he grins at Bush?

"No. No. The fact is that I'm different but the fact is that I have agreed with President Bush far more than I have disagreed. And on the transcendent issues, the most important issues of our day, I've been totally in agreement and support of President Bush."

What's that called when within a statement declaration is its contradiction? Not stupidity or schitzophrenia or even carelessness, okay, but a pathology of some kind? Not really caring because it only makes a difference really if you are caught unable to lawyer your way out of, bascially lying? Shifting with power and money persuasions? Constituency maybe even last place. Maybe McCain's character works comfortable within ambivalence that is his character? This flaw is cornerstone his politic methodology?

McCaine unaware of what he is saying and or has said isn't all that important. Or is what apparently he believed or believes in, not the point. The point is what has to be done to maintain seat in Senate if it means you aren't altogether what you are showing. But, for McCain's type approach to perservering to represent the people of his State and our Nation, it works excellent thus far. Being, in a way, sort of murky and wishy-washy, cowardly, even spineless, all the while while erecting versions of a straight shooter, hero of a man.

McDoodoo has lost my respect.

I cannot ever give him credit for his pow time - he has trashed his honor and reputation with his desire for power.

To think a coward like him sits back here in the states and lies about why our boys and girls are dying in Iraq.

He needs a good bowel cleansing and a retirement village far far away from the halls of power.

Pathetic - yep.

Unpatriotic - yep.

Heartless - yep.

Cowardly - yep.

This cowardly dishonest immoral creature does not deserve the honor or running for office.

PS - thanks for letting me vent.... :-)

I think I must have missed something along the way. The last two elections were either rigged or just stolen and we sat by and let the media get away with doing nothing. If America doesn't face that fact, then it can and will happen again. Where the hell was everyone when the last 8 years went by? You think McCain is bad, if he steals this election like the last two times, what are we as Americans willing to do?
Check out some really interesting info regarding secret Congressional meetings regarding North American Union, cattle cars/trains built for Americans along with camp sites not to distant from what the
happened during ww2, for angry Americans when we take it to the street........again. McCain is nothing but a product of what America has become. It's all the people around the so called "leaders" that we have to worry about. Look at the idiots that have surrounded the sicko in the WH now. We have to do some drastic
inward looking and make decisions to not to allow this to happen again. We have had nothing but trouble since JFK was killed and I was just a kid then, but now I see what people meant when they said "This Country will never be the Same Again". And guess what folks they were right. It's time to get serious and take back our beautiful Country. Screw McCain. We cannot let them in again. Please youth of today Stand Up!

Well J. Sidney, you say
"You will hear every policy of the president described as the Bush-McCain policy. Why does Senator Obama believe it's so important to repeat that idea over and over again? Because he knows it's very difficult to get Americans to believe something they know is false."

Because it's true - try to remember ..... go ahead, try.

Too bad you're doing your best to pander to the same nut jobs Bush did.
If you're such a maverick then why do you need that tired cabal of
profiteers, illiterates, neo-con opportunists and hate-mongers.
You're doing it to yourself Johnny.
We know you are the lier.

McDolt also said he fights for
"support of men and women in the military".
Why aren't you fighting for a fair GI bill if you're such
believable, trustworthy guy then?
