Washington Post:

A detailed analysis of the candidates' tax plans confirms one of Barack Obama's top arguments against John McCain: the Arizona senator's proposals would offer substantial benefits to wealthy Americans.

An analysis of both campaigns proposals by the Washington-based, nonpartisan Tax Policy Center found that for people with incomes between $66,354 and $111,645, Obama's proposals would cut their taxes by more than $1000, compared to around $300 under McCain's plan. But for Americans with incomes above $603,402, Obama would raise their taxes dramatically, by more than $115,000 a year, while McCain would cut them by $45,000.

McCain (aka Bush in Drag) would of course favor the wealthy since he "are one!" He leaves the management of his economy to his wealthy wife! Why would he even care about the nation's economy or how the middle class is surviving?

Poor John - he was captured before he barely got started in the Vietnam War, spent the next five plus years in a POW camp, was tortured, and then rescued at the end of the war. It's sad to watch what being POW did to his mind.

Not only that, he missed the period of time when Obamma and his supporters were just growing up and could care less now about the Vietnam War. Who remembers it after all this time?

Wars are traditionally supposed to help the economy, but this one has almost destroyed our economy - not just because the war is unjust - but because some much of the costs are hidden or wasted by this administration. And John wants to continue the disastrous policies of this administration?

A couple of nights ago I saw a similar summary on PBS that basically said the same thing (the numbers were a little different) and couldn't help but wonder how any voter who has been remotely paying attention lately could vote for McCain.

He's worse than Bush.

I guess that McCain really was telling the truth when he claimed not to have expert knowledge of the economy!

If voters with an income over $603,000 per year vote overwhelmingly for McCain and voters with an income under $111,000 per year vote overwhelmingly for Barack Obama, then Obama will win by a landslide of historic proportions. We've got to get the message across to the voters that McCain, like Bush, is the candidate whose first priority is to defend the interests of the very rich and the very greedy.

And if voters with income over 1/2 million donate heavily to McCain, as they may, then Obama could get sunk.

Actually, McCain has no plans, no unique vision for the economy. What Sen. McCain has is an ideology. albeit one that has failed continuously to live up to its promises of eternal economic bliss. One that is one dimensional in that it is based solely on a tried and failed policy of that in essence demands little or no taxation to the largest of business whilst forcing the shortfall on the shoulders of the middle class; One that has left us in this deep economic mess that we are currently in.

On the contrary, Obama continuously enunciates a unique plan. A practical plan that seems more focus on making America right again, on bringing back a sense of balance and fairness to the market place.
