LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston are sharing a play date. Brad Pitt's current romantic partner Jolie and ex-wife Aniston will go head-to-head at theaters Oct. 24, when both have a movie coming out.

Jolie stars in Clint Eastwood's missing-child drama "Changeling" while Aniston is part of the ensemble cast in the romantic comedy "He's Just Not That Into You."

Aniston probably will win the dollar battle because her film debuts in nationwide release, while "Changeling" starts in just a few cities to build critical buzz before going wide Oct. 31.

But Jolie, an Academy Award winner for "Girl, Interrupted," likely will lead the acclaim game. Well received by critics in its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May, "Changeling" has put Jolie in the running for a best-actress Oscar.

Set in the 1920s and '30s, "Changeling" is based on the true story of a single mom in a nightmare battle with corrupt Los Angeles police trying to cover their mistakes in the investigation surrounding her missing 9-year-old son.

The commercial prospects for "He's Just Not That Into You" are bolstered by an all-star cast including Ben Affleck, Scarlett Johansson, Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Connelly. Directed by Ken Kwapis ("The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants"), the movie focuses on the mixed signals men and women send in relationships.

Pitt and Jolie _ expecting twins, their fifth and sixth children _ hooked up after co-starring in the 2005 hit "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" as his marriage to Aniston was unraveling.

Universal Pictures is releasing "Changeling" and Warner Bros. is distributing "He's Just Not That Into You."

I always feel so bad for Jen, she just seems like she doesn't deserve all of the drama this baby collector always tries to bring. I do kind of hope they make fun of this on Digitalfuntown.com though. The DFT News segment is frikkin hilarious. Gotta check it out.

I'll put my money on Jen's light comedy. Angelina has failed at the box office numerous times. I'm sure The Changeling is just as depressing as her last two. Of course both these films will go immediately to the DVD farm if they totter at the box office.

she can really command sympathy for her characters. losing pitt will prove to have been for the best. in her films, there are always these stupid, over-reacting ego-driven people around her and she keeps appealing to their long - extinguished sanity. she never fights for a scene, but scenes come to her until, even with vaughn or shirley mcclain (or even friends clown ppl), the film is an accessible, thoughtful jen film.
to thread posters generally: not caring is not enough. you must act on your not caring by not posting. we need commitment and action- not just words before we can really not care.

ok. we get it. sympathy for jen is over. huffpo is a brangelina website: buying a chateau in france, adopting, advising governments, european awards, clint eastwood project... it's sort of like if bono married himself. and the little picture of jen upper right getting squeezed out. thanks. usually its the one where she's trying to squeeze out of the SUV that's parked too tight. jen gets totally abused in these movies and people think they're comedies. if jen wasn't the friend in college you were secretly in love with- you went to too good a college. and then her vacant boyfriend gets stolen by the goth oprah.
when brangelina finally meets obama in a cosmological mega-schmooze to end all bad things this site will make TMZ look like atlantic monthly. they will probably manage to work in small unflattering pix of jen and hil though.

How is it that Aniston is six years older than Jolie but Jolie looks like she is 6 years older than Aniston? Seriously, Jolie looks like she is pushing 45. Not that there's anything wrong with that except that she's 33.

I love them both. I want to see both films. Screw competition - we are so lucky to have so many great actors and great films.

To play this competitiveness is typically of lazy yellow journalists.

I used to read magazines like "Star" and "In Touch" for laughs, but I got tired of all the Brangelina articles. They write about about the most asinine and trivial things. Brangelina's babymaking and adoption just isn't that interesting. They have become boring. As far as Jennifer Aniston is concerned, let her live her own life and stop throwing Brangelina in her face.

I always support the underdog, so I am in Jennifer Aniston's corner. It's kind of unfair to put Jennifer's photo next to Angelina Jolie's, because Jen cannot compare as far as looks are concerned. Angelina Jolie is beautiful, but something about her repels me. She also sets off my "phony radar". I don't think she's quite the humanitarian many think she is.

I think she has an absolutely beautiful soul. And a smolderingly exotic, earthy, irresistable sexiness! Meeooowwwwww

Of the two, if there was a way I could miraculously choose one to spend an evening with, it would be Aniston. So cute, so girl-next-door, so smart yet unthreatening to my fragile self-image. And an absolutely gorgeous figure. Her smile lights up a room.

Jennifer Aniston is 2nd to nobody in the looks department. These are two good looking, but very different women. No need to compare, no need to compete.

Both Angelina and Jennifer look incredibly conservative. They've had the same "long, flowing hair" look for years now. I'd file both of them under "unimaginative American women who are afraid to cut their hair short".

...there I was chiding myself for shallowness -- then the coiffure police show up and make me seem very deep indeed. :-)

Angelina's hair is ok, but Jennifer needs to ditch the long tresses;they just aren't flattering. I think Jen would look better with shoulder-length hair.

"Actors are some of the most driven, courageous people on the face of
the earth. They deal with more day to day rejection in one year than
most people do in a lifetime. Every day, actors face the financial
challenge of living a freelance lifestyle, the disrespect of people who
think they should get 'real' jobs, and their own fear that they'll never
work again. Every day they have to ignore the possibility that the
vision to which they have dedicated their lives is just a pipe dream.
With every passing year, many of them watch as the other people their
age achieve the predictable milestones of normal life--the car, the
family, the house, the nest egg. But they stay true to their dream, in
spite of sacrifices. Why? Because actors are willing to give their entire
lives to a moment--to that line, that laugh, that gesture, or that
interpretation that will stir the audiences soul. Actors are beings who
have tasted life's nectar in that crystal moment when they poured out
their creative spirit and touched another's heart. In that instant, they
were as close to magic, God, and perfection as anyone could ever be.
And in their own hearts, they know that to dedicate oneself to that
moment is worth a thousand lifetimes....they earn it.

when are the guilt trippers going to realize that Americans love stupidity. Just move on and let the country have what they like instead of dictating what you want them to have. Damn this is how the church spread Catholsism
