Joe Wineke, chairman of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, reacted with disbelief when first told Friday afternoon that one of his state party delegates (Debra Bartoshevichis) is now a McCain supporter.

This is a Hillary Clinton problem. If Senator Clinton cannot or will not deal with this situation directly she is of no use to the Party. Everyone praised her non concession speach, but it is of little use and has no positive meaning if she allows this type of propaganda by one of her past supporters to continue unabated. Everyday the entire country get to see that Senator Clintons Campaign was more about her own personal ambitions than about leading the country out of the abyss that GWB and party has sunk US into.

Although this sentiment is NOT being reported - many of us Clinton supporters feel the same way and will be excersizing our constitutional rights accordingly.

Whatever.... you people are Rush Limbaugh republicans, still pretending to be democrats or even democratic. Give me a break, democrats don't fall for this new gig, just ignore these people. How many Clinton delegates would really vote for McCain, now that is a Fairy Tale?

Does anyone else find it funny that HRC hasn't come put and spoke out against this....her supporters voting for McCain?
Think about it...really...think about it

Not at all. I expected as much. HRC knew exactly what she was doing during the primary, and her support of Obama was merely lip service. If she truly cared about winning back the White House in 2008, she would be helping to turn around these women voters who are planning to vote for McCain. But it would take a very big person to do that (not saying it's easy) and HRC's ego/pride is too big for her to counter the Carly Fiorina sweet-talking.

She can support McCain that is her choice to switch parties all the power to her ... but, please let's all send her a coat hanger to help with the abortions that will become illegal during a McCain presidency ... as a nurse she ought to know better! Wait ... as a nurse she really ought to know better .... how are physicians and nurses faring as professionals under the uber-capitalist insurance based medicine?
Oh, well ... she can vote for who she wants ... she can change parties and change her hair color, her name, she can change towns ... but one thing she cannot be is a delegate to the democratic convention ...

Dear Debra,

If you think you were disappointed when HRC lost I guess you will be looking for a new country to live in after November. Good luck with that.

She's no Democrat. A Democrat has a conscience and knows not to sacrifice the lives of their children before the alter of a fascist dictatorship. http://www.light-to-dark.com/McBush.html

"I"m kind of disenfranchised," she said.

Why, because HER candidate wasn't chosen as the nominee. If she can't handle how politics works, perhaps she has no business getting involved.

She certainly should be removed as an elected delegate! They're expected to support not just one candidate, but the party. As an Independent, that's why I would not be chosen as an elected delegate!

The McCain website calls Bartoshevich a "prominent" Democrat, failing to mention that they made her prominent by insisting on this story from the media.
Bartoshevich says she is voting for McCain because he has experience in 'foreign policy' (bombbombbomb Iran!).
She also says she feels 'ignored' by the Democrats, so now she is joining the Republicans who will trash everything she claims to believe in (except bombing Iran, I guess).
Her state's Democratic Party is kicking her out. She's an embarassment to Hillary Clinton. McCain's people will forget about her in a little while. Bartoshevich is supposedly a nurse - try avoiding her emergency room if you have any health difficulties in her neighborhood, one can't even guess at what kind of "care" she might provide.
All this for a few minutes of newspaper glory - sheesh!

Her Reasons

"I just feel you need to have somebody who has experience with foreign matters."

Te plan on foreign matters is unimportant, just have experience. What McCain will do is unimportant, but he has been talking about foreign matters for longer than BO. Did shevote froBill Clinton the first time? He had no foreign experience.

She said a series of controversial Obama associations, including but not limited to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Chicago developer Tony Rezko, reflected poorly on his judgment. And she echoed the complaints of many of Clinton"s most ardent supporters that Clinton was treated unfairly in the nominating process and by the party.

Rezko convivted. No BO connection. BO rejected and renounced J Wright. McCain pursued Hagee.

"No self-respecting woman should wish or work for the success of a party that ignores her " that"s by Susan B. Anthony," said Bartoshevich, referring to the suffragist.

The policies of the GOP ignore or needs if she wants what HRC wants. BO supports her need, if she wants what HRC wants.

Over18 million voted for him. This process lasted 6 moths. We know as much as we will ever know. You visit the dead enders blogs to support your views. Do not believe those folks are on your side, but then again maybe they are.

Who are these people who supported Hillary "because she's good on the issues and substance" and then support McCain? How can that make any sense?

It makes me think they were disingenuous about their reasons for supporting Senator Clinton. Mind you, I believe there are likely plenty of people supporting her who were genuine about why they thought so, but there are clearly some who were not so.

She has violated th rules of the party (cross-party endosement) and now can not be seated at the Convention. That's one less delegate in the Hillary delegation. Obviously she ddn't think of that, but Clinton-to-McCain crossovers don't seem to be thinking about anything very clearly.

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scored."

We do things like this, then wonder why some don't take women seriously and don't think they should be allowed to vote, let alone be elected president!

It is well known now that there are major issues with the electronic voting machines, provided by companies owned by strong Republican backers. These problems lead to voting irregularities last presidential election in Ohio, among other states. They created a serious conflict in FL in the House of Representatives race in the 13th district 2 years ago when 18,000 votes "disappeared" for the Democratic candidate and the Republican candidate (heavily backed by the White House) won.

The Republican nominee is behind in the presidential race already and is already having problems with his campaign. So what can the Republicans do to gain ground?

Run attack ads using Debra and others like her against the Democrats and, follow me on this, if the race is close enough come November, use the back door programming to those electronic voting machines to steal the election. This is not crazy talk, there is enough information about these voting machines and how easily the programming can be compromised to make this possible. Bev Harris has done a lot of work on this.

All the more reason Democrats need to unite to win in November. If our candidate has a large enough lead it would be very difficult to "shift" enough votes to steal the election from us.

Tell me Debra, do you really want 4 more years of the Iraq war, a war in Iran, more "conservative" judges on the Supreme Court, tax breaks for the rich, no legislation on equal pay, etc?
