As an avid supporter of Hillary Rodham Clinton in the Democratic primaries, Debra Bartoshevich is not alone in her frustration over Clinton's defeat.

She's not alone in refusing to support Barack Obama.

Just to think, for the first time in many years I was enjoying the opportunity we Americans have to vote for a candidate we truly believe in. I feel absolutely fortunate to be able to support a candidate like Obama, who has the character, demeanor, family values, and political agendas that mesh well, though obviously not perfectly, with my own. I wish Debra Bartoshevich well, but I hope her decision is not ruled by bitterness and spite. I have no idea how support for Hillary Clinton's policies translates to a vote for John McCain, unless her policies were not important to begin with.

What a shame to vote for a candidate simply because you are Anti-Obama, especially when there is virtually a 95% concordance between the agendas of Clinton and Obama. Moreover, Hillary Clinton has made it clear that in the current matchup, Obama is the best person for the job. To vote for McCain otherwise says that this "avid supporter" not only disregards Hillary's policies, but Hillary's judgment as well. This is in addition to the fact that McCain's words and voting record show little respect for women's rights.

Will she still go to the Democratic Convention? I hope that the money is not wasted on her. I say good luck to her and her man McCain.

TO ALL WOMEN HERE IS WHAT McCAIN said today :
McCain has shown some similarities with Clinton on the campaign trail. Both support lifting a tax on gasoline this summer, and have repudiated economists for panning the idea.

Obama also panned it, and some observers said the proposal hurt New York Sen. Clinton.

But McCain was quick to point out political differences with Clinton, saying he thought the Supreme Court decision in "Roe vs Wade" on abortion was a bad one.
Are you really willing to vote for this man and kill all years of fight for equality between men and women?

He also said that women who want better pay need to get paid more. How uninformed and sexist is that?

Shoot... the post below is a mistake. He said that women who want better pay need to get more training (not better paid, which he doesn't seem to want).

I just don't understand what a Clinton supporter could find appealing about McCain.

His policies are incoherrent and against the interest of women [ Against Roe v. Wade; Against Birth Control, Against the Middle Class] Does this all boil down to spite or the black man does not go before the woman?

I am a woman and the reason he is my candidate for choice is two fold: His Health care plan is reasonable. Involves both private and public sectors, as well as alievate the cost of employers and focus more on preventive medicine which alot of medical professionals agree with.

Secondly, the corporation have not gotten to him yet which is why i see all the nuisances in all the coverage of every MSM, i favor no one. They are scared of a person who does not own them a favor, who they cannot control. The reason he was able to do this is because he did not expect to win, he wanted to build a grassroot organization so he was carefree. If anything i have gotten for myself is the power i have in this democracy, I AM NOT A VICTIM.

He is not perfect which he acknowledges everyday but he is a man surrounded by strong women from his grandma, mother and wife who challenge him. I want a female president whose policy i like and who inspires me, hillary was not the one and never will be.

We have a new volunteer for McBush's town hall meetings. Then all the other low info voters can listen in rapt attention to one of McBush's barn-burner speeches. You know "real Americans".

Soldier die, become lame in many forms, and they discredit their fight for freedom, because their candidate did not win, the base thier vote on race, spin, association ect. and we wonder why we are look down at across the world. If don't respect the Constitution, that has been and still is fought for with life and limb, We are in bad shape.

God does not let his children suffer..think about that a minute.
This is going to be a sad campaign, in more ways than one.

Cusack said it best "Is a American going to let him do this, I dont what that says about America"

After all the talk about Obama's platform and Hillary's platform being virtually identical, I would live to hear this idiot's thinking behind voting for someone who's platform could not be further to the right of both Democratic candidates.

I am so sick of hearing about the misogyny in the this primary. Please, someone explain to me how there has been any more character assassination by misogyny than by race. Barack never brought up race in his speeches until the reverend Wright baloney. And then he dealt with it by talking about it in one speech, hopefully to get it behind him. Hillary's campaign was steeped in remarks , by the candidate herself, about "glass ceilings" and misogyny from the very beginning.

The more these people complain about unfair treatment, the weaker they appear. The complaining is not helping women appear strong. It's just making them look like whiners.

Well, she has gotten her fifteen minutes of fame. What is most unbelievable is that she is a Healthcare giver and is going to vote for "Buy your insurance yourself" McSame

the mccain people contacted the press. Obviously they didn't care that she wanted to go to the convention to cast her vote for HRC.

Wow...what an absolutely selfish woman! Because she didn't get what she wanted, she is willing to sell all of our children short: the repeal of our reproductive rights, endless war in Iraq, no g.i. bill, no children's insurance (s-chip), no chance of pay equity for women, a new war with Iran, continued warrantless wiretaps and mccain's vow to erase the recent Supreme Court decision to reinstate Habeaus Corpus. All because she didn't get what she wanted.

And she's a NURSE? Talk about a disconnect...

She is entitled to choose who she wants, but if she is voting for McCain because Hillary did not win is a shot in the face. She obviously does not care if a democrat is in the White House as long as its not Obama. If it was someone else, maybe a causcasian, she may have voted democrat. This is an embarrassment to women and to me as a woman. This tells me that if a woman cannot have her way, she will take revenge. We are already labeled as winers and she just gave more amunition. Well I am a republican woman and I am voting for Obama because I am tired of my voice not being heard. I am tired of the undercover politics, I am tired of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. I am tired of an unnecessary war that is killing my sons. How am I going to pay these exhorbitant oil prices this winter to keep my family warm? MCCAIN IS NOT THE ANSWER.

One has to wonder just what policies Clinton was going to press that McCain is her second choice.
She must have supported Clinton purely on the basis of gender or personality and is now voting against Obama and her own interests out of pure petulance.
What a spiteful infantile little mind.
Or maybe she just wants a phone-call from Hillary asking her to change her mind. It's still pathetic.
