Cellphone Popcorn Videos Revealed As Viral Marketing Ads
Remember those YouTube videos floating around a couple weeks ago that showed four cellphones ringing around a pile of popcorn kernels, causing the kernels to inexplicably pop? Turns out the videos were part of a viral marketing campaign from Bluetooth Headset manufacturer Cardo Systems. Seems Cardo wanted viewers to think cellphones have so much radiation power that they can pop corn kernels just by ringing near them.
From CardoSystems.com:
"More than 7.4 million people have seen our little videos since May 28, 2008 and we hope you had as much fun watching as we had creating them."
