"Because all other countries are inferior to us. And we should start as many wars as we need to keep it that way."
"Because women just can't be trusted to make decisions about their own bodies. Never, ever, ever."
"I just don't feel I deserve health insurance."

Funny stuff but if you view the clip " How To Speak Republican" at the end it's shows the Repug as being some sort of lecherous creepy f@g. I find this anti-gay sentiment which I've seen exhibited in other anti-Repug ads or skits to be disturbing. Most gay people are liberal or progessive thinking with the exception of a closeted or Log Cabin minority. The use of this negative gay stereotype to depict Repugs is the same as if you were to depict black Repugs as cowtowing to whitey Uncle Toms. Most black Repugs are intelligent people who for whatever reason have adopted a conservative philosophy. Being intelligent and right however are two different things. Anyway this anti-gay stereotype normally exhibited by the right is now being adopted by the left and I find this disturbing.

Why does it always come down to a comparison with black issues. IT'S NOT THE SAME!!! No matter what the background ,on the nature of homosexuality, how you CHOOSE to present yourself is a CHOICE beyond genetics. If a gay person walks in for a job interview his sexual preference only becomes an issue if he makes it one! I have seen some of the most feminine gay men "butch up" when it came down to neccessity. Black people do not have the choice of picking their battles over skin color. Black people are OUT by default!!!

Can you read? I wasnt trying to compare the black experience to the gay experience or qualify one as being better or worse than the other. I was just pointing out that the use of the negative stereotype in the ads and skits is bad. Just like using negative stereotypes of black people is bad.

I completely agree, but I think the video was meant as a joke, at least I hope so. Sincere people on all sides of the issues must strive for open honest discussion rather than stereotypes that fan the flames of animosity. I have some republican friends who echo this sentiment. They turn off Hannity because he can't seem to offer an honest argument anymore. We must work harder at sorting out the dishonest malicious spin from the facts.
