Monday night's "Verdict" with Dan Abrams featured its nightly takedown of "media hypocrisy, agendas and the perils of live tv" in "Beat the Press." First up was a clip of Cal Thomas on Fox News discussing the "angry" black women frequently portrayed on television in a segment on Michelle Obama. Later, a CNN anchor was befuddled about the link between flushing toilets, water and fire.

Are black women angry? If so, hey let's ask THEM for their actual opinions on their own feelings of anger and what generates it. Black women are far more capable of assessing their lives than we who don't share them are and I am sure they would share the good and the bad of their existences if someone, perhaps the author of this article even, had thought to ask them.
Standing outside their world and making something up that suits OUR little world only leads readers to more stereotyping and untruths. And I am not being preachy, because who of us at some point in our lives, haven't been judged by outsiders on lies or gossip that wasn't true.

Yes, it's cruel and wrong to mock their appearance and IQ, and Erica Jong disapproves from on high. But they are TV personalities, and as such open to criticism of their physical appearance and intellect, when there is nothing else about what they do that is noteworthy. I saw that clip, and he basically painted a broad picture, saying most black women are angry. I realize he was trying to make a point about Michelle Obama, but he's so off-track. FOX viewers will buy this notion about angry black women, just like they bought the muslim story about Obama. It's truly a shame that FOX continues to be so blatantly racist. They just don't like black people.
I know a few black women in the neighborhood and use to work with a few, also, and you know what----they were usually ANGRY. More so then whites, black men, and hispanics. Sorry, but they were.

Unlike you lilly-white liberals in your suburban ivy towers, I live in a totally mixed and actually minority-is-majority neighborhood (South Chicago) on southside of Chicago. And I'll call it the way I see it. There always angry. And of course blame the WHITE MAN for EVERYTHING. I just smile, doesn't even bother me. If you look at other mixed melting-pot societies around the world, the majority man usually will always be the person blamed for somebodies problems. Will always be the scapegoat. I'm certainly an angry guy, but I'm angry because our president lied us into a war and Fox news keeps violating journalistic principles in an attempt to cover the behinds of this lying president and his complicit political party. If other people, women, asians, whites, blacks, whatever are angry too, then that makes perfect sense to me. There's a lot to be angry about right now...and most people are taking that anger and focusing it on solving the problems at hand. If you aren't angry right now, then you must be perfectly fine with an insanely high unemployment rate, nearly 5 dollar a gallon gasoline, a war that has caused our economy to spiral out of control, absolute gridlock in our government in regards to solving these problems, a lame duck president that prides himself on stopping any attempt to solve these problems...if you're not angry, you're complicit.
Where you angry when Jimmy Carter had nearly 9% unemployment?
Where you angry when LBJ's Tonkin Gulf lie would lead to 58,000 Americans killed in VietNam?
Are you also angry that gas is $2 a gallon higher since Pelosi took charge of congress?
Are you angry gas prices are outragous but we haven't built a new refinery since 1976?
Are you angry environmentalists have stopped us from having nuclear power plants?
Are you angry we can't drill off-shore, but China and Cuba are, and in the Gulf of Mexico?
Are you angry at the speculators and also China and India's thirst for oil which has driven up prices?
Are you angry at the UAW union which stopped the momentum for more fule-efficient cars because they worried it might mean less autoworkers, therefore less dues?

This President has done more to marginalize the constitution (contrary to his only real) job than anyone, any list, any sophmoric argument you can come up with:
1) Jimmy Carter - I suggest you take a Community College course in American Government. The President cannot cause unemplyment, period. I would say that he was a bit weak in Foriegn Policy, but to say that he was responsible for unemployment is a bit disingenuous.
2) Nanc Pelosi - I am outraged at her, not because she caused gas prices to skyrocket becaused she didn't, but because she has failed in her task to make the Congress an "EQUAL" branch of governent. She and the rest of congress have abdicated thier duty to remove a tyrant from office. Thier response is to wait out the storm rather than to what is required and to hold this President responsible for his administration's sins against this Country, the Constitution, and humanity. Gas prices Pelosi's fault, how dare you!
3) The rest because you are hardly worth a serious response - refineries not he answer - dependence reduction is. What has this President done ? ... I thought so.
