Jon Stewart Mocks Media For Peddling Insane Obama Rumors

On Monday night's "Daily Show," Jon Stewart mocked the media's willingness to peddle insane rumors about Barack Obama — and their tendency to blame the rumor-mongering on internet sites. Calling it "Baracknophobia," Stewart showed clips of anchor and pundits from all three cable networks repeating baseless rumors (Muslim, plagiarist, sexist, etc.) about Barack Obama (and his wife Michelle).

The highlight of the clip comes about 2:25 in, when Stewart says, "Oh, this is interesting. SomeguyI'veneverheardof.com is reporting presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama has lady parts. Obviously scurrilous and unfounded, we'll examine it tonight in our special, 'Barack Obama's Vagina: The October Surprise In His Pants.'"

The Sinclair rumors are hilarious enough...they canned Tom Brokaw for following up on information that was 10 times more credible as the Sinclair stuff, but the zeal to get dirty and cut down Obama is so much that the scumbags running the major media outlets don't even care.

The ones that I find the most personally hilarious though are considerably more tame ones offered up by the lower quality talking heads. Especially the ones where Obama can't do well with the Jewish vote. As if the Jewish Synagogue three blocks away from where I live with the great big Vote Obama sign in the front wasn't evidence enough for me. I drive by it every day when I head to and from work.

Stewart is doing a good job of lampooning what these main stream idiots like Dan Abrams and Anderson Cooper create with the constant repeats of these rumors. And that airhead that shows up on CNN with the English accent - his imitation of her was the best. Wolf Blitzer is another bitter Hillary fan who loves to shovel the poop about Obama.

On a less funny note, I am very discouraged by the media trying to mislead us. Trying to mislead us is kin to lying. We have open and free media so that the public can get real and true information. I cannot watch CNN, FOX and the others and expect to get the basic information needed to make an informed decision. I got cable just recently so that I could keep up on all this campaign stuff and help the candidates of my choosing. Now, I just don’t even know why I made that investment. Why should anyone pay to be lied to. Everyday on this site, I see someone complaining that others say some of this stuff borders on racist, but I do not know any other way to look at it. I don’t think the media gave Nixon this much trouble in his worse days as they give Obama today. Someone needs to figure out what is so scary about Barack Obama to the establishment. Geee....has anybody noticed a bias in the media for Obama. Here, in this clip we see the media telling us that the...er...media are spreading false rumors about Obama, kind of contradicting themselves in a weird kind of pimping way, not to mix metaphors or analogies or anything. The upshot of this piece is a positive media spin for Obama, hence, an obvious Obama bias in the media.
Throughout the past year, the media not only spread rumors about Clinton but smeared her repeatedly with yellow journalism, i.e. cropped quotes, distorted "analysis" etc.

Thanks to deregulation, the news was cancelled quite a while ago and was replaced with "infotainment." So unbiased news no longer exists in America. Instead, it's all opinion and propaganda.

The real and meaningful way to do this is not to boycott FOX, but boycott it's sponsors.

Don't buy products shown in the comercial breaks. Hitting the pocket book hurts worse than a slap in the face. Look at MSNBC and A&E when the sponsors dropped out on Don Imus and Dwayne Chapman. Absolutely imediate results!

I boycott Fake News every day of my life. I can't stomach it. The other channels leave out important details that could make all the difference, Fake News outright lies. Chances are the majority on this website don't watch Fake News so we don't need a boycott. The ones that watch or going to watch it or die and won't even know of our boycott, so its futile.
