Kate Walsh (in Future Classics) gets sandwiched in by movie exec husband Alex Young and publicist Jonathan Cheban on the rooftop of the new Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter the Saturday night of the U.S. Open at nearby Torrey Pines.

The 30-year-old Private Practice star was attending the inaugural The Lexus Style Villa Sports Power of h Gala, which merges golf and entertainment worlds with sustainable living. (The lowercase "h" is used by Lexus to denote its hybrid fuel vehicles.) The entertainment event celebrated the brand's hybrid philosophy.

Other pictures include Kate and Alex with actor pal Aaron Eckhart preparing to depart on a private plane from Van Nuys airport on Saturday.

That's ok. She's an "artist". Besides, she probably bought a few "Carbon credits" on eBay so its all ok.

She's not thirty. I think she's almost at or at forty years old.

Also, don't knock Gore. Did you really like the last eight years? The war? The gas prices? The droughts? the floods? Food prices?

I don't get what this story is about. Is it b/c she took a flight on a private plane? If so, how many celeb's do you think partake in this way of traveling? I"d say close to 60%.

It's because taking a private jet is not good for the environment, and the event was about sustainable living.

Walsh is a celebrity so what would apply to others of course doesn't apply to her. Sustainability is a great buzz word and a useful PR tool as long as it doesn't require any behavior and attitude modifications.

The "Gore" syndrome.

My girlfriend made me watch her show once. I couldn't stand Kate instantly. Is it just me or is this a repellent human? Although I love Cadillac's new styling, their adds SUCK. And hers is one of the worst. They appeal to the most venal in human nature..

I DESERVE A CADDY!!!!!!! I'M SPECIAL BECAUSE I CAN BLOW MONEY ON AN OVERPRICED GAS HOG OF A CAR!!!!! IF IT HAD A BATHROOM IN IT, I'D LIVE IN IT!!!!! I BOUGHT IT FOR ME!!!!! WAAHHHH!!!!

Idiots. YEAH. Appeal to that sense of entitlement. Let me tell you something. It's a fact, too. You are all entitled to the same thing EVERYONE is. Life and eventual death. Sorry to burst your little f-ing bubble of superiority.

I have the same visceral reaction to her as I do to all plastic people. Denise Richards inspires the same reaction (from the first frame she was in for "Starship Troopers") as well as most "reality" show contestants, Simon Cowell, James Carville, Mitt Romney, Cindy McCain, Laura Bush and a dipstick down the street when I was a kid who will remain nameless.

They just reek of insincerity.

As Rather once said about ducks . . . well, her actions speak for themselves don't they? Private plane to an eco event. Niiiiiiiiice. Must be a Republican.

When I worked for GM as an engineer from '81-'84, GM had purchased about 25% of Toyota, the parent company of Lexus. I subsequently found out after moving to Ford that they owned a significant chunk of Mazda. At that time, the American car manufacturers were hedging their bets as the auto industry was being turned upside down (remember Chrysler only survived due to a government bailout) by sales of Japanese imports after the two 70's "oil crises".

I am not sure if GM still has that much of a stake in Toyota, but I kind of snicker whenever I hear that Toyota has replaced GM as the world's leading automaker. Kind of like having your younger brother climb over you on the richest people list.

My guess would be that if GM is still in bed with Toyota, there wouldn't be any real problem with Kate Walsh's appearance.
