Mark Wahlberg Slams The "Ocean's" Movies: "The Second One Sucked!"

Mark Wahlberg has been busy promoting his M. Night Shyamalan movie "The Happening," and he slammed George Clooney along the way.

Wahlberg had the following exchange with an interviewer from UK's Zoo Today about the part he gave up in the "Ocean's" movie, a part that ended up being played by Matt Damon.

Is it true you turned down the chance to be in the Ocean's films?

Yeah - and it was well worth it! The second one sucked! People tell George Clooney it's great, but we all know it sucked. I made two bad movies instead - Planet Of The Apes and The Truth About Charlie - but doing that was better than sitting with Brad and George, telling the press how great everybody is! "We were in Europe, George was funny, then we had some wine..." - that's not for me. I do love those guys, but I had to step out on my own.

I'm not sure why Marky Mark is so mad . . . I thought him and Brad and George were friends. He needs to cool out a bit, and reconsider if he has any credible films under his belt. Maybe he should watch some of the shows on Digitalfuntown.com. He looks like he needs a laugh. I heard The Sext Messaging video is good.

Sometimes you want steak or lobster and sometimes Creme Chantilly is the only thing that hits the spot. Watching George & Brad use their ephemeral 'clout' to launch these money making entertainments is cool. And they throw in the diamonds CARL REINER, for God's sake. An American genius. Elliot Gould, a tabbycat, if not a lion, in winter .A multi-coloured, multi racial cast. A perfect antidote for a couple of hours to the much bigger series of heists going on in the White House.

Marky Mark has the makings of a very successful producer. He has a right to his opinions. For HUFFPO to inflate them as if they affected Middle East Peace - well....And really people. As Americans, creators and consumers of some of the great enduring film classics - from thumbs up to it sucks - is it any wonder your place in the film world has dropped precipitously?

Dreamworks and Stephen Spielberg are now financed by India. It sucks alright.

3 words...The Italian Job. That movie was up against Ocean's and it looked like a poor man's version of it all the way. It was beyond goofy and uncool.
Sure O 12 wasn't the greatest. But 11 and 13 were very swanky and showed a type of wit Mark Walhberg wished he had. Are they Oscar material? No. However other than “Rock Star” and another “poor man’s version” of Bourne, “The Sniper”. Two he carried and are good. Not too many of his joints are that great. Face it you will always be the little brother cleaning up the scraps.
Sorry Mark. I like some of your stuff. But for the most part you're a "B" lister at best.

When Katherine Heigl rejected the Emmy nomination, for poor material undeserving of an award, she was viewed as a unappreciative dimwitted barbie princess. It seems that Marc has made the same decision and has not been thrown under the bus. Good choices for both of them.

I watched all 3 Oceans movies, and came to the conclusion their primary function was to serve as j**rk off sessions for Clooney. I guess his ego wasn't big enough already.

And what's with all these sexiest man alive awards? Who is doing the voting here? He is way over the hill. Even Brad is getting up there (although still hot). Where are all the YOUNG guys in Hollywood? I'm tired of these aging egos getting all this attention. Notice how most of the "sexiest women" in Hollywood are all under 30 -- except for, of course, the token middle-aged woman they throw to us as some sort of half-assed evidence of their "fairness."

If Clooney were a woman, he would be too old for the Danny Ocean character.

The plot:

nothing really happens for an hour and a half, and then Clooney wakes up from a nap to discover that he's really a cop who's been dreaming that he is pulling off heists. then brad pitt walks in, clooney looks at him and the credits roll.
