McCain Contradicts Himself Over Similarities With Bush (VIDEO)

The latest video to come to fruition on YouTube shows John McCain contradicting himself on his support of President Bush. McCain makes the mistake of standing in front of a green screen, and ends up pointing out his own flip-flopping on his similarity to President Bush on policy views. Watch the video below:

I really don't think these are examples of dementia or confusion or anything like that.

What we're seeing here, I think, a guy who hasn't really internalized the fact that almost every position he's argued over the past decade (and then some) has been recorded verbatim in one fashion or another, and is available on this new-fangled contraption called "the internet."

I think his problems may stem from his age, but only insofar as he's just practicing an out-of-date brand of political campaigning. Specifically, that it's okay to say one thing to group A and the next day say the opposite thing to group B because, heck, who's gonna know? By the time group B has gotten the word via telegraph or pony express about what he said to group A, everyone will have forgotten all about it anyway.

I exaggerate - but not much. I think he simply doesn't figure on anyone being able to accurately chuck his own conflicted words back at him and ask him to reconcile the two. He's the most pitiable kind of bullshit artist - a poor one.

I think Mcain is very confused. He is in a serious approach-avoidance relationship with the Bush legacy and is therefore boxed into a corner within which there are no palliatives and without which there are no credible exist strategies.

who cares his age, it is his confusion that worries me. Besides all that, if he is rational, then he is the world's first class flip-flopper and that may even be more worrisome since it will show he has no moral rudder. A very sad situation. Further, I am a former Republican but I just had to leave the party due to the malfeasance of Bush. Now McCain's straight talk Express has floundered . I think he may just be so addled he cannot remember exactly what his stand on these many issues were, are or have been long ago.

Seriously, can any one on here or anywhere say that President Bush has been fiscally conservative as John McCain has stated in this video? Seriously folks, what is he running on? I used to think John McCain was a maverick and showed judgement from time to time but his entire campaign has been pandering to the right and trying to dispel his voting record which is quite in line with Bush's.

What I'm most troubled by is that it seems the Dems are not really pushing hard against his obvious prognostications and flip-flops on virtually everything.

If MoveON wanted to run an ad, something along the lines of the video we saw above would have been powerful.
