Nicole Kidman On Pregnancy, Husband Keith And Growing Vegetables

An expectant Nicole Kidman graces the cover of the July Vogue, and inside she talks about her pregnancy, her relationship with husband Keith Urban, living in Tennessee and filming the movie "Australia" in Australia. Here are some highlights:

On the new baby: "When I first saw the baby on the ultrasound, I started crying. I didn't think I'd get to experience that in my lifetime. I like the unpredictable nature of it. To feel life growing with you is something very, very special, and I'm going to embrace that completely. I don't believe in flittering around the edges of things. You're either going to walk through life and experience it fully or you're going to be a voyeur. And I'm not a voyeur."

On her knees splaying out at a 45-degree angle during the interview: "The whole experience is so primal... Just look at how I'm sitting here with my legs apart. This is the way you have to sit when you're pregnant."

On finding Keith after her marriage to Tom: "Keith and I, we're more like, 'Hey' [she shrugs and smiles]. We just gently, gently sort of fell into each other. We were just two lonely people who went, 'Ah, there you are.' I'm so committed to this relationship, and so is he. I don't have addiction problems, but love is a very powerful force in my life. It's my fatal flaw and my virtue."

On living in Tennessee: "I've been in Tennessee, just sitting. We have a farm there, and I have an organic vegetable garden. This is a path I'd not taken before. My mum's always gardened. My sister gardens. And I've now conformed to the Kidman women's hobby of gardening. And it is just a hobby. I'm not feeding the troops. There's a softness to the Tennessee landscape that I just love. It's very beautiful out there. We have deer and wild turkeys."

She really needs to stay away from the plastic surgeons.

Something dawned on me recently. Kidman and Cruise adopted 2 children when they were married. I assumed (as I'm sure a lot of people did) that either Cruise or Kidman was infertile.Then, Cruise went on to (supposedly) have a child with wife #2, Holmes. Now, Kidman is pregnant.
So, does anybody know what gives?
(My guess is Cruise has never been with a woman in his life and that Suri is some Scientology clone.)

Yes, it is strange the Cruises could not get pregnant until they found other partners. I guess that sometimes happens though. Infertiility can be real tough on couples who try for years.

Nicole has always been reproductively challenged. She was pregnant and miscarried a couple of times, which is why it's a big deal that she seems to be successfully pregnant now.

How come Hugh looks normal and Nicole appears to be an alien? Her forehead alone looks shinny-er than my kitchen floor. When will these women get it in their thick heads that men don't find that attractive? I know it's for a women's magazine but still. These celeb's have no idea how silly they come off to the public.

GQTaste, obviously you have no taste to speak of and have to depend on gaining attention with your moniker. Nicole Kidman deserves each and everything she is entitled to in life -whether you like it or not. She is a grand person, never deserved to be married or live with that idiot Cruise, and is finally happy with Keith and the expectant baby. Most of us are very happy for her and we hope the baby will be healthy and (we know) it will be beautiful.

Next time, keep your negative opinion to yourself or start your own blog and whine there. Whining here only makes you look like a bigger fool then you already are.

I wouldn't hurl blame at Kdman, she was dressed and made up for that photo. Probably had little say in it herself. (I once heard a director yell at a diva actress "ACTORS do NOT have opinions about their looks!!") Don't take it out on her, she was just doing her job.
