Hillary Taking Month-Long Break From Senate

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) is taking a month off from Congress to recuperate after her marathon run for the presidency.

She is not expected to return to the Senate until July 7 or July 8 after the Independence Day recess, according to two Democratic sources.

Clinton's Democratic colleagues in the Senate are taking a sympathetic attitude toward her extended absence, which comes after a grueling 18-month formal bid for the White House and, according to some calculations, a decade or more of planning and positioning since the days when her husband was president.

"People understand this is a transition for her," Sen. Bob Casey Jr. (D-Pa.) said.

How much vacation does this woman need? I mean, a couple of weeks should suffice.

She is notable by her lack of support for the Democratic Party's nominee, Barak Obama. It really was just a speech she gave with nothing to back it up!

Man , are you crazy? Have you ever got a month long paid vacation from your employment? These guys give themselfs a raise every time ya turn around, plus traveling expense's paid, paid hollidays and a heck of a lot more! If she can't get back to her work after a two week paid vacation, than she needs to let the people know that it is to grueling on the campagne trail for people of older age.

I thought the same thing at first. But then I thought about her not having a vacation for 18 months. I think she had enough days banked. She deserves the time off.

The extended time is entirely her fault. This race was over in February, and she just kept it going way too long. She now has no right to claim she is tired and deserves a month off.

She seems to have had enough energy to hold meeting with big donors, and continue to send out endless "Contribute" e-mails to her supporters, in order to get her debt eased.
