Attention, Barack Obama!

Jennifer Hudson would love to hear from you. The Oscar-winning actress and singer from Chicago (yes, she still lives there) says she's ready to do what she can to get her senator elected president.

"I sang for Obama after I did Idol," Hudson says. "I'm so proud and excited for him. I haven't gotten a call from them yet, but he does have my support."

I was on the phone with Hudson, 26, the day after she shot her first music video for "Spotlight," her just-released single from her upcoming debut album. She's a bit sleepy because the shoot lasted nearly 24 hours.

"I guess God gives me the strength," Hudson said of her almost nonstop schedule since becoming the breakout star of Dreamgirls two years ago. "In this field you just sleep when you can."

Jennifer, don't start. By the way, he is known as "no drama" Obama. I know my message has "been received" by you. I truly hope you get it.

I doubt this was her pose for this statement. If you read the article all she says is she is proud of him and wants to help his campaign and hopes she'll get a call asking her to.

From Jennifer Hudson to Scarlet Johanson...why are some editors here looking for the sleazy spin? I call "sexism" for real on this!

Hey, heffa ... get a clue! Find yourself something to do and leave BO alone!

Hmmm! What's this got to do with Obama's campaign and why would Obama even need to call Jennifer?
Sorry, I don't see the relevance.

This belongs in the entertainment section. I like Jennifer. She did well in her debut film. She can donate her time and have a concert fundraiser for Barack.

I love how nobody's calling John McCain. Maybe his mother. Hahahaha

Scarlett much better than that hunk of a woman.

You bugging out. Scarlett is beautiful and she's a great actor, but Scarlett's voice is no match for Jen's. And the Oscar Jen has even trump Scarlett on the actor scene as well.

But Scarlett is still very attractive.

Let's put it this way, Jen for the National Anthem type (real singing gigs) and Scarlett for singing "Happy Birthday, Mr President." That's a win win. LOL

Let's see how long it takes for nasty comments to appear on this blog against this talented young women.

Jennifer hope to see you blasting out a tune at the convention in August!!

To Jennifer Hudson,

I think you're a great singer and you've certainly showed us your acting skills and I like you a lot. Kudos for not being a cookie-cutter artist.
Now, onto Obama calling you, I doubt he has the time to chat with his own daughters enough. If he doesn't get time to call you, just hit the pavement and help him get elected!

No kidding. I didn't wait for him to call me to go out and help, nor did the millions of others who have helped this campaign. Geez.

Tell me about it! I think these celebrities really get full of themselves sometimes. They're all over sudden shocked and surpised that they have to fight for attention and their competition is a politician and NOT Paris Hilton... WTF!

What are the chances Obama calls his supporters? I'd hope he'd choose his free time to play with his kids instead of calling me.
Sweetie Jeniffer, miss Hudson, hit the pavement like the rest of his supporters and get people registered and sign up for the auto monthly contributions..

Why doesn't he call her? She won an Oscar. Scarlet Johannsen didn't.

She's jealous of Scarlett Johnasson. And shouldn't she be calling HIM, he's a senator, not her jump off.

I don't believe Jennifer Hudson is jealous of Scarlet, Jennifer is from Chicago, so why shouldn't she want to help him. You have a perverted mind. She has been busy you know, like working!

You really don't understand women. She's competing for attention. The part alluding to dating was sarcasm. Lighten the hell up. You call me perverted but skipped the comment on the bottom talking about her breasts. . . . . smdh

And why is this item included in Politics instead of entertainment?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:48 PM on 06/18/2008
