The advice from the SEC: "Tell the truth." "Don't put your interests ahead of investors.
Translate: Read the million pages of SEC rules, regulations, guidelines, advisory opinion letters, case law, dissents, memoranda from outside and inside counsel, auditor's reports, independent review of auditor's comments by outside counsel and margin comments by inside counsel, and then try to figure out what they mean by "the truth."
Witch hunt.
Finally!
Now, when does the rest of this pandora's box open up?!?!
McBush defends the legislation that allowed this to happen. It would be better for all if it was not allowed to happen in the first place. Regulation, we don't need no stinking regulation.

In the advent of Sarbanes-Oxley, the CEOs of Goldman-Sachs, Merrill-Lynch, JP Morgan, Morgan-Stanley, Bear Stearns, and all banks and institutions who participated in the subprime mortgage scheme must be indicted as well. The CEOs should not and cannot make excuses that they did not know the malicious intent in engaging in the subprime mortgage product creation and obscene money making. Once found guilty, I hope they put these guys in jail for a long time.
Yeah . . . it's about time!
Thier just fall guys is it folks, the big fish in our goverment are sitting back and laughing!
Bring back the stockades and someone could make a killing selling rotten vegtables. Few things make me happier than seeing white-collar scum being rounded up and headed off to jail.
what is wrong with treating criminal defendants with dignity?? Isn't that what makes this country --er, made---this country great.
Anyway, those guys were dying inside. So humiliating. and there's no dignity in spending a couple years in jail.
Were you hoping for back hoods perhaps? maybe some fierce German shepherds nipping at their heels? and a little waterboarding on the side?
It was actually painful...
Dang! this makes me yearn for the day we might see Bu$h Ch3n3y R0ve or R^mmy
