Icahn Blog

Corporate raider Carl Icahn's anticipated blog is now live and open to the public. Several months after Icahn announced he'd join the blogosphere in February, his lawyers appear to have relented and allowed him to post.

The blog was launched with several backdated entries, including a curious first post thanking readers for their comments -- sans comments -- that reads like sort of a mailbag post that cites supposed supportive emailers.

Other posts are more vintage Icahn, railing against the "Absurdity of Corporate Board Elections" and "Absurdity of the Staggered Board." In fact, it appears as though "Absurdities" will be a frequently-blogged topic.

Silicon Alley Insider takes a jab at the blog's content:

Posts we haven't found yet:

* "What Went Wrong At BioGen"
* "What Went Wrong At Yahoo"
* "What Went Wrong At Time Warner"
* "Man Oh Man, Do I Hope Motorola and Blockbuster Pan Out"

See Icahn's blog for yourself.

The true absurdity is that the actions of Icahn and his ilk are not felonies.

In a sane society, one would go to jail for destroying other peoples lives and businessess for personal profit.

There are ways to make big money legitimately.

After Icahn bancrupted and nearly ran Trans World Airlines into the ground in the early ninties and all the other corporate raiding that he did, now he has a blog site, gotta show those kids how it's done.

I am sure Frank Lorenzo is coming up with his blog real soon.

Why Oh Why should anybody care what and/or who Carl Ichan thinks is absurd. He is a blood sucking parasite.

After reading Icahn's blog I am quite impressed. I think its important not to have this knee jerk reaction. If you read what he says he makes valid points that I think everybody will agree with:

-That the Board of Directors of America have a responsibility to keep an eye on fat cat CEOs.

-That Fat Cat CEOs should not get paid ridiculous amounts of money for driving their companies into the ground.
