Us Magazine reports Jamie Lynn gave birth Thursday morning to daughter Maddie:

Jamie Lynn Spears has given birth, Usmagazine.com has confirmed.

Daughter Maddie was born Thursday at Mississippi Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi.

Maddie weighed 7 lbs., 11 ounces.

This is the first child for 17-year-old actress and her 19-year-old fiance Casey Aldridge, a pipe layer.

People reports the baby's name is Maddie Briann.

I hope she has learned from her big sister and becomes a great mom to her little girl. Yes, 17 is young to be a mom, but not unheard of. Rather than tearing down the girl, this baby has come into the world healthy with a young mom that probably loves her very much.

I take offense at this. My daughter and her husband and baby ended up in a manufactured home. They own it, can move it to where ever they please, its better than most apartments, much more private, and thier neighbors are not red necks. Not every new couple can afford a swanky home, especially with a new baby in tow. Before you all criticize, walk in thier shoes. Both kids are in college, work two jobs, and are raising a wonderful child and my grand child. They don't have buck teeth, wear wife beaters, hang out and swill beer at the local tavern. Both come from families who have degrees, were raised with good values, ethics and morals. Its disgusting that you assume Mrs. Spears is white trash. I am willing to bet this lady is far more decent than most of you online. I feel for her, as a parent, and adult. This has to be very hard on her emotionally. Show some kindness will ya?

This is all too much news - that I never wanted. Some people have lives besides Britney and her sister Jamie. Ugh!

Not exactly good news here, is it? She will be on the cover of People magazine soon being crowned as mother of the year, just like her sister was. The truth is that no 17 year old should be popping out babies, when emotionally they are babies themselves. I don't care how much money she has. She didn't have the brains to use birth control 9 months ago, and she certainly doesn't have the brains to take care of a baby. It's a scary thought that her parents are going to help raise the kids. They are obviously not parenting material either, just look at how well their 2 daughters turned out. As cute and adorable babies are, one day they outgrow those cute little onesies, and then the real work begins!!!
