Sooooo.....they are gonna take part of her name and his to name the baby. I would think that the first thing they would do is marry so the illegitimate child becomes legal.

There is no such thing as an 'illegitimate' child. That's a bunch of crap from, what should be history by now but obviously not, a patriarchal system of oppression.

No baby is either illegitimate or illegal and does not need the sperm donor's last name to magically become legitimate or legal.

While I do not condone teenage pregnancy, your post is wonderfully stated. Why hang a tag on an innocent child's neck. So cruel.

it would be far LESS interesting had it been the actress who played meadow (jamie-lynn sigler) who is of a more appropriate age to be having a child. i'm pretty sure she hasn't acted in anything since the sopranos so yawn to that, and jamie-lynn spears was the star of a children's television program on nickelodeon when she got knocked up at the doubly scandalous age of 16. is this really interesting gossip? probably not. but you see how the gossip rags eat this s**t up??

They don't induce labor for a breech baby at all, that can give the baby brain damage. What they do when a baby is in breech position and you are in labor, is they will take the baby by c section.

remember guys, this is coming from the national enquirer.. they're really not a credible magazine. brit was just seen today though going to louisiana they said that she's gonna stay there and help her sister out. i'm so glad to see that britney has turned her life around, i guess her dad's not such a bad guy after all!

Well I guess the National Enquirer has enough credentials for the Huffington Post editors to post their stories.

I have to agree, it doesn't make much sense to force a baby out early because of it's position. Either way the positiion is still wrong, early or late. I really hope they make fun of this stupid story on the next DFT News at Digitalfuntown.com . . . This mess is ridiculous.

You don't induce labor if a baby is breech! You wait to see if the baby turns itself, or a doctor can try to turn it, or you have a C-section. You would *never* induce labor in that situation. The only reason to induce labor is if you have gone significantly past your due date or your water has broken and you aren't going into labor within 24 hours. This story is complete hog-wash.

Actually, they do induce for breech if the mother is trying to avoid a C-section as every doctor is not comfortable delivering a breech baby. The birth is induced to make sure that a doctor, who is comfortable delivering breech, is available. I have known a few mother's to be induced for this reason.

I'm a doctor and you are wrong about this.

My grandmother assisted at a very rapid, sudden birth of a cousin in the early 1900's. She was not a nurse or midwife but she was a relative and she was at the house of the laboring woman so she did what she could to help. And she did quite a bit more than boiling water and tearing up sheets.

The baby was breech and my grandmother had small slender hands. She was able to reach into the womb and gently turn the baby around so he could exit properly.. Not many of us would have the guts or wherewithall to help in such a way today!
