Keira Knightley Shows Off Clavicle, Talks Boobs: "I Always Bare My Breasts"

Keira Knightley is busy promoting her new film in the UK. After working "The Edge of Love" world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, while hand-in-hand with costar Sienna Miller, on Wednesday, Knightley drew gasps on Thursday's London premiere, because of her jutting collar bone. But her clavicle isn't the only body part drawing attention, thanks to some love scenes in the film.

"I always bare my breasts," she said at the press conference to promote The Edge of Love Wednesday at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. "It's not like it's only in this film!"...

Referring to a scene in the wartime romance The Edge of Love with her onscreen husband Cillian Murphy, Knightley said: "It was very simple. It was a sex scene and I never like them when they've got bras on."

So when the director asked her to remove her bra, "I said, 'All right then.'"

The film was written by Sharman Macdonald, Knightley's mom, who also wrote a singing scene in for her daughter.

"I wasn't particularly pleased that Shar put singing into the script - in the first couple of takes I sounded like a a pubescent boy," says Knightley, who calls her mom Shar and instead of mother.

Yes, there's naturally thin, which I am, and there's too thin, which I have also been when I was stressed and ate too little. And I know what it's like not to able to gain even one pound.

BUT - Keira is thinner than even my thinnest stage, so it's hard to see how anyone out there can claim that this is somehow 'normal'. One 'gains' pounds in photos, which is why models have to be so thin. For her to look this thin in these pictures (so it's not the angle or the lighting, or whatever other explanation has been offered) means that she is even thinner than she looks!

The impression I get from these photos is that Keira wants to look as gorgeous as possible in her face (and she is), and is willing to be as thin as possible to get those hollow sculpted cheeks and even larger eyes.

Why is this news? Knightley has always looked cachectic. And she is by far one of the most overrated actresses out there in moviedom. She monotonously delivers lines with the depth of emotion and intellect of a Cindy McCain. Her jutting, padded jaw makes her look freakish every time she gives that half-grimace that is supposed to represent a smile. Her idea of emphasis is to stretch her neck 6 inches in front of her chest. A sad example of how the glitterati presume ideal women should appear.

I'm naturally almost as thin as she is in my upper body. i have a clavicle that sticks out and very thin arms. it is infuriating that people constantly accuse me of being anorexic or not eating enough, since anyone who spends more than a few hours with me knows that i love to eat. Yes, anorexia is a serious disease that deserves medical and psychological treatment... but i hate that everyone jumps to conclusions about every skinny girl out there.

agreed; and you can add skinny guys to the list. i weighed the same from 14 to 30, and was always a little shocked at how comfortable so many people are at telling you to eat a hamburger, or strangers asking if you're anorexic. we still rely far too much on appearances in assessing a person.

Yes, Keira Knightley is a little underprivileged in the boob department, but she's also one of the most beautiful women in the movies, which would seem to make up for it and then some.

We seem to have reached an age where obesity is the norm and anyone who is naturally thin is to be demeaned.

And let's be sure to publish photos that accentuate and exaggerate in order to sensationalize the "story"

Anorexia is most likely genetic (or has a strong genetic component), so, yeah, she's naturally thin.

There is incredible pressure to be thin and punishment for being overweight. This is different. This is a situation in which Keira Knightley has taken thousands of pictures in which she simply looks naturally thin. However, in these pictures she looks thinner than normal, and she looks unwell. If you have seen what she normally looks like, you would see she is underweight for her body norm in these pictures.

You have issues if you think her weight looks normal. Remember, the people who gasped are from the entertainment industry. They are used to looking at women who are extremely thin. They will not photograph women who are "obese."Therefore, their surprise at how thin she looks is rather extraordinary.

Keira Knightley looks cadaverous. Her appearance is what ruined the film Atonement--it was not possible to focus on the story whenever that human skeleton was on the screen.
