MSNBC Pulls "Inappropriate" Michelle Obama "Hardball" Ad Depicting Silhouetted Female Dancers (VIDEO)

MSNBC ran an ad for "Hardball" Thursday morning teasing a segment on Michelle Obama's image makeover. The ad featured background artwork of female silhouetted dancers while the phrase, "HER NEW OUTLOOK?" was displayed on the screen. When contacted, an MSNBC representative said the ad was pulled after only running "once or twice" because it was deemed "inappropriate." The full statement:

The artwork should not have been used, it was inappropriate. We pulled the spot this morning and it was re-done without those images.

honestly, MSNBC isn't the media outlet who needs to begin pulling ads and promos. Fox news and CNN run stuff that is 100% rumor and often false. We need a system where shows who get press passes are fined for reporting false information.

The press is free, but not free to be controlled by political parties and especially not free to lie to or mislead the american people.

Because it is Chris Matthews, I think it is belittling, otherwise the ad would just be common and sexy . Face it - Michelle is a sexy lady in the highest of honors. She is moral, and so brilliant intellectually along with stunning.

Obviously he wanted Hillary to win - but the one last time I 'tried' to watch his show--he was working with Feb 5th data on the white woman vote vs. Obama. I couldn't believe he was so ingnorant - that is when I realized, he was low as they come to pass that pack of old data on the public. He is sorely trying to pass off anything he can to trash Obama. I found him very inferior as a commentator and still cannot understand why he has a show???

Keith rocks - he is far more intelligent and HONEST and he has INTEGRITY to the core. He is the ONLY person I watch on MSNBC. The rest are in a graveyard with CNN

Chris loves to talk about being from Pennsylvania where the people are, you know , regular. That would be code for white working class. People that in no way would ever vote for the (he ordered OJ instead of coffee in a diner) eletist Obama. I have been watching him flip flop since Hillary made her suspending her campaign speech.

So, it 'seemed' inappropriate; really?! The mainstream cable media has long crossed lines; and when called on it apologizes, or something.
The fact is that, for the most part, the Constitutionally protected media has been asleep at the wheel for decades! Twenty-four hours a day they all do a rapid tap dance under,over and around the real news the people need in order to make informed decisions.

It is true that regular ( I prefer that to ordinary because no one wants to be called ordinary though we know we are) people in this country have been working harder than ever in our history. Working harder, while wages and benefits remain stagnate, or are reduced or jobs are 'out sourced'; American oil companies are officially ensconced in Iraq now. Why were we told we needed to be there; the families of over 4000 American Troops and one million Iraqi dead (not to mention the maimed and mutilated for life) might ask, if they did not know by now that an avalanche of lies would follow.

I'm older than Mrs. Obama, and I will say that, not since the peace and civil rights days of my youth have I felt pride in my country. Anyone paying attention and not protected by wealth knows exactly what she meant. I concur.

As for the promo..it matters. It was a way of belittling Mrs. Obama, of making her common. Would not have been done with Cindy McCain. MSNBC got it even if some of you don't.
