Will Smith's Kids Willow And Jaden Wear Sunglasses At Night, Talk In Third Person

Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith have budding celebrities on their hands with kids Willow and Jaden. Their homeschooling no doubt helps keep their schedules adaptable for movie roles. Jaden, who turns 10 next month, first appeared onscreen with dad in the critically acclaimed "The Pursuit of Happyness." His little sister Willow, 7, has a supporting role in "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl," and was also in her dad's "I Am Legend." The former opens July 2 and had its New York premiere Thursday night.

Both kids came - in sunglasses- with mom Jada. The movie opens up against Will Smith's big-budget "Hancock," but Willow isn't worried about the competition. She told Extra, "I think I'll be the biggest flashing star." When asked if her movie will top her father's, Willow declared, "Yes...I'm going to post up on daddy's movie. Willow is the star."

Well, look at it how it really is. The kids are not stars in any of the movies they have small roles. This would be a serious sign of problems ahead if the children were staring in their own TV shows or movies. The list of child stars with problems is a mile long, but child stars who's parents are stars don't develop the same problems; i.e. Jamie Lee Curtis

The children are darling. The sunglasses at night, well, maybe the bright lights and flash bulbs bother them. Will and Jada have good hearts.

Together with wife, Jada, Smith has focused on a number of critical issues: violence prevention, substance abuse, and education. The couple has established the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation that funds charitable organization in such cities as Baltimore and Smith's native city, Philadelphia. The Foundation supports inner-city community development, encourages youth educational projects, and works with under-privileged kids and their families. Smith has said that more than anything he wants to carry himself in a way that would make his family proud.


The Smiths have made a great effort to reach the families of West Philadelphia, returning to where Will grew up and being a real presence in that particular community. something as simple as a conversation with a child who needs his support.

A cohesive loving family, no finacial worries, always working, confident beautiful children, never involved in the usual Hollywood scandalous life, and this is what you boil them down to?

Sounds like you are jealous, and seem surprised that a non-white family can achieve all of this............ Yes there are MANY real life Huxtables right here in America, and indeed around the world.

I'll take the Smiths anyday over those other Hollywood celebrities who are constantly in and out of court, always drunk, stoned, without underwear, loud, boistrous, obnoxious, living above their means, marrying and divorcing, trashing hotel rooms, and always looking for attention.

I agree with most of the comments below, but then I think they are just kids. It would be so nice to give them a break and go easy, except their parents apparently have abdicated all responsibility to make them into kind and considerate people who think more of others than themselves. It would seem from comments that they sit around and tell each other how great they are and how much better their movie is than the others. Fun maybe in private, just self centered and self absorbed in public. I remember when Will was first w/ Jada. You could definately tell she knew she had hit the jackpot, a classic climber and nothing really changed. Unattractive.

As to sun glasses at night, a great way to ruin young eyes, even older eyes are effected by this.

I hope Will and Charlize are having an affair. Jada was with the kids at Kit premiere. Will wasn't, he's out promoting his flick with Charlize. I like altered realities, though. So I'm torn. Just think of Ed McMahon.

The kids are treated like objects or franchises, and there are flashed from photographers going off everywhere they go. It's not hard to explain the behavior - of the kids. The parents, well, congratulations for pimping them off on us, but it kinda sucks to me.

I knew they were Will Smith's children. I just wish they looked like children, you know like the photos of the other children. I wish they talked about their favorite academic subject, school projects that they've done, what they like to do with friends. The Smith just don't look like good role models for the poor and middle class that probably idolize them. Will and Jada I expect better from you.
