I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Bill Oreilly

Bill O'Reilly is not happy about a new UK ad for Heinz mayo that depicts two men kissing. The ad, which debuted earlier this week, runs with the tagline "Give your BLT a little NYC" and promises that the mayo is so good, it's like you have your own New York deli man in your kitchen.

Fox News host Bill O'Reilly spent some time on Thursday's show crying out against the ad. His comments (via ThinkProgress) below:

So why are they doing that? Why -- it was. It was obviously a gay thing. Now I don't know what the message is, other than gay people like mayonnaise. ... I'm confused. This whole gender blending thing. It's confusing to me. ... I just want mayonnaise. I don't want guys kissing.

O'Rielly and Hitchens were seen walking hand in hand, taking a very long walk off a short pier.

I do not care for Bill O’Reilly. He is extremely pompous and I disagree with him on many issues. He treats his guests with little respect, interrupting them many times over during the course of an interview. That said, I have to agree with him on this one.

Two men kissing in a mayo commercial! WHY?

Pictures of men kissing other men and women hugging and kissing other women are nauseating to me! I’m sick and tired of hearing and seeing these perverts in the news day after day week after week but that’s MY problem isn’t it? As one poster put it, “get used to it, we’re going to see more and more of it”!

Ever notice how the world just keeps slipping further and further away from anything and everything that even remotely resembles morality? The United States has been on a course of moral destruction for a long time and this recent support for gays and lesbians by state courts and the House only helps to hasten our travel down this depraved pathway!

Bill’s guests in this clip make ludicrous comparisons and make total idiots of themselves trying to justify this very stupid not to mention distasteful commercial!

There is nothing wrong with this commercial. Guess what? Gay people have rights also.

Yes, I've noticed the moral slide we are on. Its called equality and freedom. You would have no problem with a man and a woman kissing in the commercial. You simply hate homosexuality and think that you should be protected from seeing something that offends you. News flash, the country you think you lived in never existed... it was all made up in your imagination. This country is about freedom, and that means you don't get to impose your sickness (er, your religious beliefs about sexuality) on other people.

You seem to have quite an imagination yourself, skipper. Kanglecap never said one thing indicating a 'hatred' of homosexuality just a normal and healthy revulsion for it.
Example: If I see a drunkard pee on a sidewalk in public, it disgusts me. I do not hate the drunkard. Furthermore you mention Kanglecap's 'religious beliefs'. Kangle never mentioned religion and may well not have any beliefs in that area. Kangle merely mentioned 'morality' which is an innate characteristic present in most people in a civilized society. Just because you may yourself be devoid of it, do not assume that it only exists in people who have been indoctrinated by religion. On the other hand, people, especially schoolchildren, are being indoctrinated to give up their innate morality under the guise of 'equality and freedom'.

What he meant to say was he wants guys kissing in mayonnaise. He did say 'gender blending', did he mean something about using a blender? Wow whacko, now I am confused too.

I think it's a hoot! What if it was a man kissing his wife? Would you have a problem with that?

I wouldn't get what that had to do with selling mayo either. And how would you know it was his wife?

Then you OBVIOUSLY didnt watch the commercial. The premise is that a hetrosexual male will kiss another hetrosexual male when one of them has eaten this new wonderful splendicious Mayo, even though they aren't, repeat aren't, gay, just to taste aforementioned wonderful tasting mayo on the others lips... its that good. You'd kiss another man to taste it.

Do you see, huh? Now? Do you see? I do hope you feel a bit stupid now. Go stand in the corner for a bit.

Dear lord, is it the 21st century?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 07:27 AM on 06/23/2008

actually I'm pretty sure the point is that the mayo is so good it makes sandwiches taste like they were made in a New York deli. This is illustrated by making the mother look like a guy who works in a New York deli, similar to that condom commercial where guys who don't buy condoms are depicted literally as pigs.

so basically, this commercial has nothing to do with promoting a homosexual domestic lifestyle. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

They could have gotten the same point accross by having two good looking women kissing each other. Instead they choose to put out a commericial that offends most guys. This is definately Gay propaganda.

Maybe if they showed two guys louufa-ing one another, maybe he would understand what the message was. But he is RIGHT about one thing, Bill O'Reilly is CONFUSED. He's confused about a lot of things. No wonder this ad goes over his head.
