White House Refuses To Release Documents On Air-Quality Policy

The Bush administration yesterday invoked executive privilege and refused to turn over key documents sought by a House investigative committee, escalating a fight over the White House role in U.S. policy on greenhouse-gas emissions and ozone air quality standards.

Rep. Henry L. Waxman (D-Calif.), chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, called off a threatened contempt of Congress vote against Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Stephen L. Johnson and a White House budget official while congressional Democrats decide how to respond.

first they evisiorated the justice department, replacing experience with new graduates. They haven't let anyone appear before congress. They're still waiting for Miers, Bolton and the others to show up.
they managed to change the bankruptcy laws, just before making the country bankrupt.

Isn't there any way that the Congress or Supreme Court can make Bush stop using that damn Executive Priviledge excuse? 10 Minutes after Obama is sworn in, Cheney will be on a private jet to Dubai, never to return to the U.S.A.

I totally agree. Treason, War Crimes, Illegal War, Torture ok'd, oil cartel, Bush-Chene­y-Rumsfeld and the rest of those bast**ds should be in a cell for life for what they've done. No 'executive priviledge' anymore. How long will it take for us to find out everything that this administration has done? Only thing that comes to mind is now what are they hiding ? Besides I thought Rethugs were all for states rights. I guess that only applies when Big Business is happy, otherwise the feds dictate what a state can and cannot do.
