Kristol: Bush Might Bomb Iran If He 'Thinks Obama's Going To Win'

On Fox News Sunday this morning, Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol said that President Bush is more likely to attack Iran if he believes Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) is going to be elected.

However, "if the president thought John McCain was going to be the next president, he would think it more appropriate to let the next president make that decision than do it on his way out," Kristol said, reinforcing the fact that McCain is offering a third Bush term on Iran.

"I do wonder with Senator Obama, if President Bush thinks Senator Obama's going to win, does he somehow think -- does he worry that Obama won't follow through on that policy," Kristol added. Host Chris Wallace then asked if Kristol was suggesting that Bush might "launch a military strike" before or after the election.

I've been concerned about this myself. All the more reason to clap the dumb bastard in irons and lock him away. As Richard Clarke so accurately put it, these people cannot simply be released into polite society. They are spending these last months making preparations for a hasty departure with their carpetbags stuffed full of taxpayer dollars. The fact that Congress is inexplicably ignoring this doesn't bode well.

I don;t think Bush would go on "national emergency" just by attacking Iran, though. It is more likely that they would do a false-flag against us here in this country and blame it on Iran.

You know, Bill Clinton could have put George W. Bush right in the thick of a war with Afghanistan. Instead, he gave him the decency of warning Bush about Al Qaeda and presenting him Richard Clarke's plan of attack in Afghanistan. The rest of what happened we all know.

If Bu$h is as stupified as is thought ... IMO, an aggressive american military attack on Iran just may be the straw! How stupid would he be to bomb Iran ... our military is already spread too thin! The international community will not stand for it without absolute proof of nuclear enrichment intended to build bombs! Obviously, there is no real proof that Iran is building nukes! It may be that Iran's only protection (as was Saddam's) is to make certain enemies "think" they could have that capacity or soon will have!

Kristol brings nothing but speculations and it's intended to scare the electorate not to vote for Obama!! What has Kristol predicted in 30 yrs that materialized ... nothing! He has no credibility .. who are his sources! Say who your sources are or shut up!
