Woody Harrelson Sued For $2.5 Million

LOS ANGELES — Woody Harrelson has been sued for $2.5 million by a paparazzo who accused the actor of assaulting him and breaking his video camera two years ago.

According to a lawsuit filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Josh Levine was filming Harrelson in Hollywood late one night in June 2006. He alleges the Academy Award-nominated actor choked him, broke his video camera and ordered his bodyguard to attack him.

Levine's suit says he still has mental, physical and emotional pain from the encounter. He is also suing the unidentified bodyguard.

Harrelson's publicist could not immediately be reached for comment.

If someone chased you while you were driving your car almost causing an accident you would be angry.

If someone shoved a camera in your child's face you would be angry.

If someone wouldn't let you walk down the block, get to your car or exit a building you would be angry.

If someone yelled out or taunted you about something going on in your personal life you would be angry.

These Paparazzi are predatory and even though these stars make lots of money it still does not justify this abuse. A CEO making millions doesn't have to deal with this in their personal life.

it's time we had legislation against this type of behavior. They put the lives of innocent bystanders in danger by driving recklessly.

You want to legislate away everybody's freedom. Maybe you were born too late....ma­ybe you should have been at prime in Hitler's day. Did someone shove a camera in your kids face? I'm with Woody on this. Although celebrity does invite unwanted invasion of privacy, it has been proven that the paparazzi is somewhat akin to an invasive species. While they may have a job to do, they are aggressive and outrageous. While losing his temper may not be a good thing, if he was close enough to get the camera, the paparazzo was too close.
