Ashley Alexandra Dupre Speaks Out For First Time: "Thank You ALL For Your Support!"

Ashley Alexanda Dupre, better known as Eliot Spitzer's "Kristen," has taken to MySpace to speak out for the first time since finding herself at the center of the prostitution scandal that brought down the New York governor.

"Let me just start by saying THANK YOU ALL, for your support!!" Dupre wrote to the many fans and MySpace friends who sent her messages of hope and compassion.

She also had a message for those who were less friendly.

"To all [those who sent] not so kind words...I love you too," she wrote, "because it makes me push myself and want it even more."

Hey everyone...Let me just start by saying THANK YOU ALL, for your support!! I have not had the time to be on myspace that much...BUT I have been trying to get on here to approve pending friend requests and catch up on e-mails & comments. Sorry it is taking me so long!! Are you kidding me?! She was a $5000.00 w#ore (I use that word in strict definition), and people want to talk about the sympathy she deserves? Man oh man, isn't it good to be pretty. People will put up with anything.

She is no victim. Hers has not been a life without opportunity. Her private life hasn't been exposed, only her career as a prostitute has. Her only embarrassment is that she got caught being what she really is, unscrupulous and without integrity. Now she finds that celebrate-trash culture will allow her to play on the heart strings of the blindly sentimental and make a bundle doing it. Unreal.

She has no true respect for herself, thus can have no true respect for others, and she's still playing us all for fools. Looks to me like she's still turning "tricks". Wake up you fools. She's a w#ore. When that actually CHANGES, I'll respect her more.

It's simple biology -- and the fact that she elected to use it in this way really is her choice.

But the bigger problem is the whole system that permits women to be treated as rent-able commodity for sex. On that front, both Spitzer AND Dupre are to blame for keeping this ill economy in play.

Because I know a call-girl, and she's also a knitter, singer, dancer, artist (painter and sketcher), a crafter (she whittles!?), a damn fine whistler, a not-so-great mother, a great cook, and overall a decent person who has sex like the rest of us, quite often with people she doesn't really know very well, like many of us.

Except when she's done, they give her money for it. Sometimes she spends some of that money on a new skein of yarn.

What I find so fascinating is how her story compares to the story of the "DC Madam". Two prostitution scandals involving politicians, in one the politician is the criminal, the prostitute the victim and in the DC Madam case the roles are reversed.
