Beatles-Themed Video Game Talks Underway

Beatles representatives are in talks with two companies to create a Beatles-themed video game in a move that could pave the way for a broader licensing of the Fab Four's catalogue.

The representatives have held discussions with both Activision and MTV Games, the respective makers of the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, in which players strum along to favourite songs or form virtual bands.

39 year old guy here who has played Rock Band and have been begging for a Best of the Beatles download since Nov. I know me and my friends (male & female) look ridiculous with our plastic guitars, drum, and microphone, but it brought hours of fun! I know everyone is excited to pretend to be the Fab Four!!

Inaccurate headline - it's not a "Beatle's Themed Video Game" they are just in talks to license tracks for use in Guitar Hero and Rock Band - like so many other bands already have. The only reason this is news is because Apple records and EMI still have yet to get the Beatles on iTunes or other digital music stores - seems like they are getting ahead of themselves here. That being said, the Beatles catalog should finally be on iTunes this year. if not, someone at Apple/EMI is being totally incompetent.

Imagine A Day In The Life of a Little Child who has yet to hear Beatles music. Yesterday all of us baby boomer's wanted a Revolution to make it easier for that Little Child.

One day the Little Child woke up and said Good Morning Good Morning to the Black Bird sitting on a branch in a tree outside.his bedroom window. The child was so thrilled that he told everyone Here, There and Everywhere about the Beatles .

His parents didn't approve of his love of the Beatles music so he became a Bad Boy. He grew up bitter and when they asked who he's parents were, he said he was Nobody's Child as he didn't want to Carry That Weight. He felt he was Nowhere, Man, so he moved to London and rented a flat on Penny Lane where he became a Paperback Writer.

After a while he felt he should Get Back but he found Real Love. Julia was her name and he was thrilled that he yelled Oh! Darling. He whispered to her, "Do You Want To Know A Secret? It's Getting Better so I've Got To Get You Into My Life."
