Richard Clarke

John McCain's chief advisor, Charlie Black, ignited a firestorm with his comments that another terrorist attack on the U.S. would create a "big advantage" for McCain. Richard Clarke, the former counterterrorism chief for the U.S., appeared on Countdown with Keith Olbermann and slammed Black's comments as the "politics of fear." Clarke called for McCain to fire Black: "Charlie Black ought to be gone tomorrow morning."

Dear Al Queda: We need your support. Please do some terrorist thing in the US before November so that John McCain can be elected president because he assures us that he is the most capable of handling such an event and therefore deserves to be president.
Yours truly,
John McCain Campaign Spokesperson

Bushco drooped the ball, and 9-11 happened.
Now bushco wants to demean Clark because he won't parrot fearless leader's propaganda.
bush is a war criminal, and should be arrested on 1-21-2009.

Please note that every time a moron on the right speaks up, their words are tinged with ignorance, racism, and hatred, and their "commentary" is violent and disgraceful.

What are you running against?

Everything they say
everything they do
everything they want
every threat they make
everything they have stolen
every act of treason
every lie (Saddam with Al-Qaeda, WMD in Iraq, blah blah blah)
every war crime
every innocent death (they aren't even counting them anymore!)

They want to make you sick so you don't vote.

But these people are so disgusting, THAT EVERYONE IS GOING TO VOTE!!!!

They even threaten their own country's citizens when they dare to think for themselves or ask for change.

Perhaps we should be hearing speeches about how we have become similar to Zimbabwe. . .

It would actually be more appropriate to look closely at what Putin has done to "secure his power".

And you fools go and give unlimited spying to these fascists!

Bush, Cheney, Blackwater, Haliburton, Gonzalez, Libby, Rove, Condi, Dumsfeld, DeLay, Hastert, Frist, Doolittle, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, and wadling up behind . . . John McCain!

America, you are better this this!

I do not think he should be fired. Let him stand, among many, as mute testimony to the indescribably vile essence of the GOP as currently formulated.

"As currently formulated"? Oh, you mean they're in office.

No. I refer to the gamut of those attached and attracted to it, whether in office or not.

Part 11: Richard Cohen of WaPo opnion piece entitled: Why McCain beats Obama on Character"

My email to Mr. Cohen:

Just what are you basing your article of McCain’s character on?

Have you seen more of his military records than we have, since only 100 pages of nearly 700 have seen the light of day for the rest of us?

How can he be the “straight talker” when his voting record reflects his conservative views and his voting with Bush 90+ % of the time UNTIL…he decided to run for president and he has flipped on every imaginable issue?

You obviously haven’t read of the up coming book about Obama by the conservative author which I doubt will be filled with wine and roses for Obama. And you and your paper are quick to join the McCain bus by screeching about Obama opting out of public financing.

Is McCain getting a free pass for his sick mentor’s words about the advantage of another terrorist attack or his vow to overturn Roe or according to three so called witnesses called his trophy wife a cunt while her millions make it possible for him to own 8 houses and travel in comfort on her plane? Was it character for McCain to divorce his first wife, who raised his children while he was in Hanoi to marry the present wife.

Richard Clarke, as always, says what others are afraid to say to these neocons.

Charlie Black should be fired, without question. The fact that McSame doesn't feel the same outrage from his comment that the rest of us do, tells me everything I need to know about him.

If they fired every operative, every entrenched lobbyist - then McCain would HAVE to run his own game! He couldn't dissemble freely.

WHY ever in the world would he do that?

its fascinating that these guys (McCain's campaign) is comprised rather heavily of guys with very direct connections to BIG lobbyists & guys willing to say things "NOT ENDORSED BY THE CANDIDATE."

The most disturbing thing I ever heard through out this election season.

I've sometimes thought Richard Clarke could be brought back as President Obama's National Security Advisor. It seems he understood the concept better than most we've seen the last 10 years.

I've been waiting and waiting for weeks for the newest terror attack scares. I am shocked that they are waiting so long. In 2004, there were constant "terrorist scares" all summer. Remember the color code crap? Where is it now?
It's getting entirely too close to the conventions. I'm sure something will come up shortly. Mr. Black has basically let the cat out of the bag. Be afraid, be very afraid.................of Repugnicans.

Mark my words, we will see frequent and well-timed elevations of the Homeland Security "Color Chart" as we move closer to Nov 8th.

This only show that McCain is NOT in control of his campaign. Him and his GOOD OLE OLD buddies
are grasping at straws and trying to use fear in their campaign tactics. I am 56yrs old, and McCain scares the hell out of me. He IS a war monger, knows nothing of running a country, just how to run a war.

He has ro respect for women or their rights. We need to let go of the past. McCain has changed his views on almost everything from Drilling, Wire Tap, S.S. (privatize), Immigration, Roe V wade, and gay marriage. How can we trust a man like that. I would rather go with new and unknown, with a great hope.

McCain IS scary. I agree. A war monger, knows nothing of foreign affairs OR economics (our two biggest problems). Old, ill, not very bright and temperamentally unsuited for the job.

His ever-changing positions on important issues of our time, show a breath-taking level of opportunism. (Don't forget the GI bill and torture. How could he reverse himself on such matters of "principle"? Obviously, because he has none.)

Arianna has said it and some day the MSM will start to listen. This man is NOT the same person he was in 2000. Scary.

Yes, Obama/Clark. That's *exactly* my position. Wes Clark, though :) Richard Clark as National Security Advisor. Gore as head of the EPA. Clinton in charge of the National Healthcare Initiative. Richardson as Secretary of State, Wexler and Conyers as co-heads of a "truth and reconciliation" committee to uncover the myriad sins (actual evil sins) of the Bush Administration. The list goes on...

He IS the same person he was in 2000. Just older (and perhaps crankier). He was a cheat from day one.

Richard Clark is the kind of guy McCain can't attract to his campaign. He's honorable and smart.

Richard Clark would be a great asset to an Obama administration. He is sincere and very knowledgeable. I've seen him twice on Keith Olberman and other times too, and am very impressed with his views and clarity.

I'm deighted Charlie Black said this, along with Kristol predicting a Bush strike on Iran if Obama looks likel to win. Let them show their colors now, while there's time to debunk and deride and generally make it impossible for them to pull any last-minute crap.

It is too bad the election isn't today and the inauguration tomorrow. Every day these idiots are in office is another day they can do harm to the country.
