Keith

Hilarious Jason Bateman, he of "Arrested Development" and the impending Will Smith blockbuster "Hancock" joined "dear friend" Keith Olbermann as the #1 story on "Countdown" Tuesday night. They talked about working with Will Smith and the joy of just getting paid. More surprising was a guest appearance by David Cross and a confirmation of the "Arrested Development" movie. Says Bateman, "It's in the works." And then Keith asked for a role.

Loved Countdown that night. Love, love Arrested Development. I am totally in love with Jason Bateman and would definitely date outside my race for him.

There are a few others too.

Everything Bateman touches turns to....'Funny'. I love this guy. As for Arrested Development, It's a sad commentary on both Hollywood and the viewing public that this masterpiece of american dysfunction was allowed to disappear from our screens. I place it in the same league as John Cleese's brilliant work on 'Fawlty Towers'. Believe it or not, they only ever made 12 episodes, but scenes and characters from the series remain deeply embedded in those who appreciate the best in comedy.
Also, you can check out the 'other' Bateman, you know, the pretty one, at youtube. She is in a series of 5 minute episodes of 'Illeanarama', the story of Illeanna Douglas, Ed Begley and other actors, working in a supermarket. Good stuff.

Actually, you're incorrect, if you're talking about Arrested Development. it ran for 2 and a half seasons, so there's more than 50 eps.

Apparently they don't have a script yet, but from what I hear Mitch Hurwitz is in the process of writing it. I really hope this movie goes through. AD deserved a hell of a lot better than the BS they got from FOX.

That's the second time I've seen Keith and Jason hang out. Guess Keith is a huge fan of AD and tight with Jason. I gotta admit I never watched AD myself. I had to look David Cross up on Wiki to see who the heck he was. Fun way to end the show, though.

Bateman's come a long way from Silver Spoons and It's Your Move. The girls in 6th grade were all over that guy back in the day. He's since won a Golden Globe for AD and Paul Anka is his father-in-law.

Geez, I feel old now...

Hancock looks good. I could barely tell that was Will Smith, loved the beached whale clip, too.

Uhhh, besides his hilarious work on AD, David Cross starred with Bob Odenkirk on the legendary HBO comedy show, "Mr. Show", which just this week Entertainment Weekly named as #40 on the Top 100 New Classics on Television.

For some perspective: Frasier (#41), Conan O'Brien (43), Twin Peaks (49), Battlestar Gallactica (59), Everybody Loves Raymond (70), Ab-Fab (83).

Do yourself a BIG favor. Check it out.

I watched Keith O yesterday and the Bateman and Cross interactions with him was a real hoot. The funny thing was when it was announced that the movie might just make Jason Bateman finally a star...

Watched Keith O Bateman and Cross yesterday and it was a hoot as Cross dusted, massaged and kissed Keith's ring and they chatted about what fun the movie was to make and the future "developement". Although not the usual guest nor fare on Keith's show it was fun for a change but not where I think the show should go daily. Promoting movies isn't what I watch Keith for.

Keith and Jason are close friends and he has had him on a few times before. That is why he had him on and of course since they are friends he allows him to plug his movie.

Yea! I had heard the rumors, but I am thrilled that the most awesome cast ever is getting back together.

FOX's bad move among so many: cancelling one of the funniest shows EVER!

Now I can temporarily retire those DVDs of the show that are getting a little worn out from over-play, in favor of new material!

Welcome back Michael, George-Michael, Lucille, George, Oscar, Lindsay, Tobias, Maeby, Gob, and Buster! Hooray!
