Karolina Kurkova Labeled Too Fat (VIDEO)

24-year old beauty and Victoria's Secret model Karolina Kurkova is being criticized over her appearance in recent days at Sao Paulo Fashion Week, especially after a runway appearance in a bikini.

One Brazilian paper blasted her back fat and cellulite, as did other outlets.

The impetus for the stories were two still photos taken at the Cia Maritima fashion show at the end of last week. It was 2006 when Brazilian model Ana Carolina Reston, 21, died of anorexia

Kurkova opened and closed the swimwear show, and did a third walk in the middle. That third walk can be seen 7:35 into the below video, and is the look from which the stills were taken.

A real woman doesn't have bones sticking out all over the place, look like a pre-pubescent girl, OR look like she spends two hours in the gym every day. This woman is gorgeous, sexy, and built like a brick house. I'd like to see more women like this on the cat walk. The only people who think women like her are too big for fashion are IN the fashion industry, and that rule is ARBITRARY. It's a trend. Here's the thing: people who are fit look good in EVERYTHING from nude to a full length gown. It's her job to look good. This is the body of a 24-year-old who doesn't take care of herself because she's 24. I know women in their 40s who aren't paid to strut on a runway who blow her out of the water in the looks and fitness departments. Fit isn't ultra-thin. It's fit. If you don't know the difference then you probably aren't fit.

There is nothing wrong with being skinny and healthy. Maybe we should teach young girls how to eat and exercise properly. You don't have to vomit in order to be slim. I know it seems impossible but its down to healthy eating and light resistance training. Whats wrong with promoting fitness? the standard has been to be "rail thin" since Twiggy in the 60's-- and every time the fashion industry gets called on it there's all this denial and lip service about a "trend" towards a "healthy look", which gets totally forgotten the next season. Remember "Heroin Chic"? too many people in the industry thought it was too "cool" for it to go away. It always come back in style, just with a different name.

If there should be an ideal, it should be an Olympic athlete, not a runway model.

That's not even really all that full figured. The ONLY reason you see back fat is because of the exaggerated twitch of her hips as she walks.

Mess like this makes me SO glad to be an African American woman - most of our men (I said most, some sadly have fallen into anorexia-lovin' city) LOVE and appreciate our natural full-figuredness.
