The same day that Bill Clinton's office issued a statement saying that the former president is "committed to doing whatever he can" for Barack Obama, the Illinois senator told CNN that he and the Clintons will be "working closely together over the next couple of weeks to put together a plan."

"They're going to want to campaign actively on behalf of the Democratic ticket," said Obama, "I am going to need them."

Oh, puhl...eeeese, Obama, say it isn't so. Do you really need the Clintons? Remember, they have a mission/method to their madness and will do anything to destroy you. They cannot be trusted one bit. They will be the ruin of you. They will set up traps for you. BEWARE.

On another note.... Nancy Pelosi said yesterday that she thinks "Hillary will run again." What! Another nightmare to live through.

I'm hearing bad reports that Obama is going to pay some or all of Hillary's campaign debts. If so, that will mean (for me) holding up on all contributions to the Obama campaign.

Mr. Change, the newbie, needs a lot of help, and has the audacity to hope the Clinton team has a short memory. What a politician!

I thought the presidency was already his, just as the democratic nomination belonged to piaps. He even has his own presidential seal. Why would he need help from them?

I knew that the same people who loved Obama would eventually turn on him. I don't get it.

They thought he was a saint, not a politician. He's the best politician at this point in time to be president. If you want a theocracy, be a Republican.

I used to think it was Republicans who voted with their emotions, usually fear and hatred. Now I know Democrats are just as emotional, and just as immature. The Hillary supporters are going to take their toys (votes) and go home. Obama supporters are going to hold their breath and turn blue if either Bill or Hill are invited to the party. Grow up kids. Ask somebody to spank you and get over yourselves. Stop insulting Obama if you don't want President McCain. Stop insulting Hillary if you want her 17 million votes. Use your brains. Quit pouting. You're acting like, I know this is mean, Republicans.

Come on Obama - "need the Clintons" for what ? They are pathetic "has-beens" and need to get to hell out of dodge for good. How can you base your campaign on "changing the way Washington works" and then say in the same breath that you "need the Clintons?" Oh - and by the way, please remember that "Bobby Kennedy was assasinated in June."

Here is a good laugh for you, "changing the way Washington works". Get real, Obama isn't going to change how Washington works. Just be happy if you get someone that is on your side. The Clintons try to do the best for it's citizens and have taken crap for it for 16 years. At least the Republicans don't eat their own, which is more than I can say for you.

The arrogance of thinking Obama can win without the 17-18 million Hillary voters is mind boggling.

No I haven't seen McCain but got a question for you. Have you read the article. Obama's got more class in his pinky finger than all his supporters put together.

Obama is always gracious and polite to the Clintons. Unlike they, he saves the vitriol for the Republicans he has to beat in November.

I think he should keep being tactful to the Clintons while avoiding them as much as possible. There is too much conflict and drama with them. One of them is always having a public hissy fit over something.

Yes, and allowing them back to the national stage is a recipe for disaster.

Obama is very diplomatic and polite, or he is gettting horrible advice. Embracing the Clintons will lose him more support than it gains for him. Many thinking Democrats, independents and moderate concervatives have been greatly offened by the Clintons' mean-spirited, dishonest, divisive, distructive primary campaign, and by their selling of influence to the highest bidders.

If Obama is serious about change in politics, change in the nation, uniting us and moving us forward, he should potlitely but unmistakably put as much distance as possible between him and the Clintons. They helped invent the politics of division and they brought Bush-Rove-Clinton politics as war into the Democratic primary. Accepting that and pretending it never happened is condoning and perpetuating it.

Bill Clinton is so jealous of Obama, he can't stand it, and will be undermining him at every opportunity. Hillary knows her misguided presidential asperations depend on Obama not being elected. The Clintons are up to no good, again.

Enough of the Clintons. Obama can win without them.

After reading these post, I have to say I think one of Obama's biggest problems now is he has never defined "Change". You do realize, one man's change is another man's complant. When the "change Washington crowed meets the real world, well. It will be Obama that goes under the bus next.

The more things "change" , the more they stay the same.

Some times you just got to love "America"

Have you seen today's gallup poll? Probably not cause they won't ever post it on Huffpo.

O is down from a high of 48 last week. He and Mc Cane are tied 45 to 45, 10 undecided. It will only get worse after O does not pick HRC for his VP.

Please revise your arguments.

Tough call, could get better or worse, I wonder if anybody gets paid to do this stuff.
I think it's really just a gamble.

LoL on Hill VP helping Obama. Would be the biggest mistake of his political career. Even letting them stump for him is a mistake.

What's the differance between a person who shoots themself in the foot and a Clinton hating Obama supporter?

The Obama supporter has to wait until November to feel the pain
