Clinton And Obama Get Lawyer To Handle Delicate Talks

With the help of one of Washington's best-connected lawyers, Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton are negotiating a thicket of complicated issues, like how to repay Mrs. Clinton's campaign debt and her role at the Democratic convention. The talks come as they try to leave behind their intense rivalry and work out a plan to cooperate this fall.

At Mrs. Clinton's request, the lawyer, Robert B. Barnett, who has brokered multimillion-dollar book deals for clients including Mr. Obama, Mrs. Clinton and Bill Clinton, is working to hash out questions large and small as the two camps work toward a political merger. Perhaps the thorniest question -- what to do about Bill Clinton, who friends say continues to refight the bitter primary fight -- has yet to be raised by either side, advisers said.

They got Hillary out of the holiday althought she would have prefered to stay cool for a month or so.
they , told her to have a meeting with Obama and she should get to appear with him in public soon, they want to a solution sooner. Here we are. Obama camp got what they wanted. The Bundlers get to talk to Other bundlers to reach a solution , and Obama said he will not Involve his base.

The next dead lock is bill the Hill cant force him, he didnt take their money thats why he is still out there.
he want to negotiate with Obama for a better deal for hill.

But Obamas have made it clear, we want hill and Bill on the trail, how the Hill bundlers work that out its their problem otherwise the will stay out in the cold, during the administration. They never learnt you never negotiate with the winner.

Listen . After June 3 hillary wanted to hake time off for two weeks. Her rich money bundlers would here non of that. The told her to " release " them so they can go and start donating to Obama. Some went on TV and demanded that hillary stop Embarrassing them. On Conference tel. they asked hill to give a date.

After that the Bundlers went to Obama, but like all who work the the Campaign know there , Rule one is no drama! and there rules even for the big monied and thats where the disagrement come. Hillary Bundlers are used to setting the tone. During the primaries they told Hill to go negative and throw the sink Hill did it.

Obamas money bundlers told him to go negative on hill he said no I have a plan... and we will follow that..and they kept cool when he won .Iowa.

Hillary Bundlers threatened the DNC and Pelosi and they wanted to put conditions on Obama before they joined. Obama Managers put the rules and Condition all other bundlers have to follow! but they are not used to rules and think money rules

They complained to the press that Obama managers are arrogant. and they dont kiss their feet.

I wonder how the PUMA and other McPander people who used to support Hillary feel about being referred to as "these people."

Hope Hil lary can find something better to say about B O besides, "In his own life he has lived the American dream and as a community organizer, state senator, and U.S. Senator he has worked to make that dream possible for others?" That said nothing.

When B O lost primaries, he always congratulated Hil lary and praised her highly. Hil lary could benefit from a lesson in good sportsmanship. Graciousness never hurts. As the saying goes, you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

Regarding the 23% or roughly 4 million Hil lary-fringe supporters who identify better with M c C than B O, there’s a certain element of society who will never support B O no matter what he says or does. Let them go. Meanwhile, he should show some respect for his own loyal followers by not kowtowing to all Hil lary demands. She spent money recklessly. We’re the millions of small investors in his campaign who have bills of our own and cars that need gas. She could become an albatross around his neck. Some independents intensely dislike the C l i n t o n s, and their vote in this election is also critical. B O has done his best to appease Hil lary and her followers for his winning the nomination. He can never do enough. Attempting to buy her off could eventually backfire. Spending time and money appealing to the more reasonable citizens may yield better results.

What matters is what she is saying to her major supporters, which is, let's get on with electing the Democrat to the White House.

On calmer reflection, I'm sure we all agree that O b a m a did not get where he is by being stupid or wimpy. His success is no fluke. So here we are, biting our tongues to some extent and rolling with the punches and barbs the detractors keep throwing .

We must stay focused and stand with him though because we are winners and they can't keep us down.

Its tradition in Politics and I think Obamas have been slow to move in. The Hill Donors put conditions on Obama just after june 3 , Obama Camp Managers said it has to be organised public and on some conditions have to be met. The Hill Donors went back to hill and told her Obamas dont want to kiss their feet. The donors pulled hillary out of holiday help with the negotiations to force Obama to Cooperate, the Obamas said well, what you have to offer? they agreed on a Public Joint Fund raiser, and the meeting yesterday and that Hillary will appear in public with Obama.

I'm glad to see that Obama and Clinton are sorting it out. I would also be glad to see their supporters in both camps let bygones be bygones and get on with the general election.

If Obama asked me to kick in $20 to help pay off the Clinton campaign debt, I would do it. Imagine if he made a general appeal and a million of his supporters each gave $20. Clinton's debt would be retired and Obama would have demonstrated the awesome power of his campaign and the movement it represents.That would be something to see.

Remember folks .............. Obama could put out the call for his supporters to donate to Hillary's debt, BUT WE DO NOT HAVE TO RESPOND TO HIS REQUEST OR DONATE TO RETIRE HER DEBT.

Hillary will not be able to say that Obama did not try to help her, and at the same time, she CANNOT FORCE us to help her out.

I heard Obama say he would do what he can to help Hillary, and I know that this is a part of the process. But I also heard him say that he will NOT be reaching out to his "small" donors because their budgets are stretched enough, and will rather tap into his "big" donors ............ But those "big" donors cannot be FORCED to help her either when you think about it.

I believe that Hillary has enough of her own money to pay off her own debt, which would not have escalated if she had got out of a race SHE KNEW SHE WOULD NOT WIN.

What about those 17 million + women, who were so passionately behind Hillary and BEGGED her to stay in the race. Aren't they part of the reason for Hillary's increasing debt? The longer Hillary stayed in the race, the bigger her debt grew .............. Those passionate women could at least contribute $ 2 each to the Hillary Clinton fund, and voila, Hillary would have $34 million easy.

Those are not Dear Hillary Supporters. They could have made a fund for hillary to save her face and dignity. They are getting paid by those corporations to appear on TV if all those money went to the fund to help her clear the debt and prepar for Plan B. They are instead already in bed with the next guy without looking back and selling their values to Mccain. What a shame!!

I am an Obama Supporter and if he lost , he could not need to ask me I would form a group and set up a fund to help him to keep the name and dignity.

I didnt like Hill but I feel sorry the way her Money bundlers are using her...and her funs are looking on and blaming Obama
