Politico :

Several prominent House Republicans blasted the White House Thursday for removing North Korea from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, as some of President Bush's staunchest supporters in the war on terror publicly lambasted him for engaging the country once famously branded as part of the "axis of evil."

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), the top Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, expressed her "profound disappointment" over the decision, while Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-Mich.), the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, also expressed his outrage.

Evidently these Republicans didn't get the White House talking points memo. Here's the story: Bush will take credit for eliminating Iraq and North Korea from the axis of evil so he can focus on going to war with Iran; McCain picks up on the war chant and scare tactics. And the beat goes on.

Bash our leader! He's going soft on war, intolerance and fear-mongering. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

This is great. All the Congressional Rethuglicans who smugly walked in lockstep with Bush for the last 7.5 years, refusing their oversight responsibility, are not too pleased with him. Funny how, given enough time, things can turn around.

All we lefties have to do now is sit back and watch them eat their own. Ya gotta love it.

So this means Bush has all but given the go ahead for North Korea and South Korea... to join and become one country once again. I should think this will cause China to keep a much closer eye on Tiwan, in order to bring that small country back to it's BIG mama China. I'd bet you all a cup of coffee that in the near future these countrys band together and become a major industrial power. They seem to be heading in that direction already.

Ironic or what?

The "success" that led to this development was made possible by...gasp...TALKING to an enemy!

Gee, who'd a thunk?

He's already purchased 100,000 acres in Paraguay.

That approval rating is going to plummet even further. I will be surprised if he has a 10% rating by the time he leaves office.

I think I read somewhere that if his approval rating hits 10%, we are allowed to ask him to hand over the keys to the White House.

At this point, I am completely against Bush doing ANYTHING more complicated than taking out the garbage and walking Barney.

Did you get the point that by lifting this designation, TRADE is resumed as of today. I would be interested in seeing just whose products are on the first boats and planes headed to North Korea. Any doubts about who would top the list?

BUSH....

God, I still hate him more by the minute, and I didn't think that was possible due to how my my disgust meter has been over the last 7.5 years.

Oh, Goodie!

There goes that 23% approval rating!
Do we even have to invite him to the inauguration?

I actually have to go with Bush on this one. I guess even a broken clock is right twice a day.
