David Letterman Posts Worst Ratings Since 1993

NEW YORK -- CBS' "The Late Show With David Letterman" tied its lowest-ever adults 18-49 rating last week.

"Late Show" averaged a 0.9 rating in adults 18-49, Nielsen Media Research said. That is its lowest ever for an original since the program premiered in 1993, though not the lowest for the show: It has hit 0.9 several times, most recently in late December when it was in reruns because of the WGA strike.

I think in general that America likes Dave Letterman. You have to admit that the photo is pretty good. It almost looks like he has transmittable disease, and the blood is great. All this is going to do is up his ratings. Although people will watch him for reasons that he never intended.

Letterman is sinking in the ratings because of the popularity of "the daily show" and "the colbert report."

Dave should do his run and they should hang up the show.

What an editorially biased depiction of David Letterman it is to use that photo of him. That particular photo was taken the night his writers strike beard was shaved on air and he was actually inadvertantly cut by one of the barbers. HuffPo editors chose to use this unattractive photo of Letterman to headline this article. It was a poor editorial decision. Shame on you HuffPo editors.

I love you Dave and I don't care what anybody says , unfortunately though, I'm not in anybody's demopgraphic because I never buy anything based on BS advertising. Those " Great moments in presidential speaches" are absolute gold, at least for old pats like me.
