David Letterman Posts Worst Ratings Since 1993

NEW YORK -- CBS' "The Late Show With David Letterman" tied its lowest-ever adults 18-49 rating last week.

"Late Show" averaged a 0.9 rating in adults 18-49, Nielsen Media Research said. That is its lowest ever for an original since the program premiered in 1993, though not the lowest for the show: It has hit 0.9 several times, most recently in late December when it was in reruns because of the WGA strike.

Dave is still the smartest, funniest of the night time hosts.

They prefer the fumbling, white bread, so-called "comedy" of Leno.

Gee, there's a headline grabber for you.....Letterman's ratings are down. So what else is new, the guy ain't funny, continually the doin' same stchick of shuffling cue cards (he has to read cause he ain't talented) while delivering snide remarks. He and Keith Doberman should form a team act, travelling various venues like the North Pole to warm up folks for a real funny guy.......O'Reilly (funny, like in strange).

Anybody ever notice he over uses the word " tremendous " every night.
He must say it twenty times a night! Especially if he does not know the guest or is trying to kiss ass.
I wish they would put an electric dog collar on him and shock him every time he uses that word. Now that would be TREMENDOUS and would bring the ratings up!

Dave needs to add a few more words to his kiss-ass vocabulary.

And get a guest host. I'm tired of watching two month old lame re-runs while you are counting your money in Montana and St. Barts!

As an immigrant I am sensitive to the plight of the Asian fellow who has the Hello Deli store. The more I see it, the more I get turned off, and turn off the show before the Top Ten, which I enjoy. There is something condescending about Dave's treatment of the fellow, and the fellow these past years looks like he is not enjoying being a part of this act. He must be doing it for pay checks.

you are right that he is doing it for the money. he could always say "no". letterman and leno are not funny! if you want funny ,watch old episodes of JOHNNY CARSON.

I haven't been able to watch since I entered the Salvation Army homeless center for women in Portland Oregon but I'm sure nothing has changed. The ratings will go back up.
