LA Times:

John McCain has been trying hard of late to link Barack Obama with Jimmy Carter in the public consciousness, hoping that the "ineffectual" label that many voters affix to the former president will prove transferable.

Anti-tax activist Grover Norquist touts Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota as prime vice presidential prospects for presumptive Republican presdiential nominee John McCainBut Grover Norquist -- the conservative activist who specializes in promoting an anti-tax agenda and, more generally, revels in the role of agent provocateur -- is offering a different comparison.

Norquist dropped by The Times' Washington bureau today and, as part of his negative critique of Obama's liberal stances on economic issues and other matters, he termed the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee "John Kerry with a tan."

Oh man. Keep it up, keep it up. Come on Grover, say it loud and proud, shout it from the mountaintops. Just don't drive up there on any roads well maintained with taxpayer dollars, drink any water or breath any air kept clean owing to EPA mandates, be accompanied by anyone educated in public schools, or accept the assistance of any taxpayer-provided law enforcement. Show the world that in the USA, freedom of speech applies to fools as well as scholars.

McCain must not be much of a leader if he can not control his own party. The Republicans pride theirselves on party discipline. Hard to believe that the Presidential nominee has no say with his surrogates. As President will he act like the loser we have now, allowing his people to attack then skirting the blame. Saying he cant control his own people. A man who wants to be President must set the example, stand up for all the people not just his party. John McCain must decide whether he wants to be the leader of a party of Bigots or call these people out as Bigots. John McCain needs to denounce Glover Norquist and any like him if he wants to be my President.

Anytime you hear the name Grover Norquist you know it has to be associated with something that is not good for the country or the human race. I defy anyone to point to a story (in a legitimate news source, not Murdouch or neocon controlled) with his name in it where there was something favorable said about him.

Norquist is one of the most detestable and obscene human beings in America. He was long before Obama came on the scene. How this prune of a man rose to a position of influence in his country can only be attributed to the poor quality of public education in America.

Oh Grover, are you sure you want to go there?

Then McCain clearly is "George W. Bush" with skin cancer.

Norquist is one of these Milton Friedman style activists that believes in putting everything in privatized hands, and removing all taxes. This is a concept that has been destroying very much of the world and civilization today. It is a vehement, obsessed style of economics that says it's OK if thousands, even millions get killed, like the experiment in Chile, where thousands were tortured and slaughtered.

Rumsfeld is a very strong believer in this idea, and you can see what he so successfully inflicted in Iraq. Problem with Bush and his crew is that they've wanted everything too fast. If they'd have been more patient like Kissinger or Reagan, and waited a couple of generations, they'd have had it.
This exemplifies the part of the equation that Nobel prize winning Friedman never took into account with his mad professor idiotic scheme. The one part that dooms everything, everytime: GREED.

Grover, you're increasingly irrelevant, and as out of touch with the world as your war criminal hero, GW Bush. You with your silly little beard grown & trimmed just long enough to hide your fat face... Get lost.
