Truth is McCain doesn't remember what he said last week.
Please put this closer to the top. Let's start making McCain answer for stuff like this.
Unfortunately the press still treats this guy like some kind of Saint. Obama gets labeled the flip flopper buy the mainstream media and meanwhile this guy has been flip flopping on issues since the year 2000 and nobody calls him out on it. That's why the Republicans always win; the gate keepers also known as the mainstream media are all in their pockets and despite Obama's impressive fund raising potential, McCain is about even with cash on hand when you include how much money the RNC has.
This guy is insane,he opposed all this times the GI BIll,today he is talking like DO_DO-LE.
President,,,, he want to be ,,,, forge it ,where is the mule!?
I am sooooo confused. Isn't this the same John McCain that said he opposed this GI Bill and actually tried to present a different one of his own??
Since I've grown tired of the term flip-flop, I'm opting for the term double speak.
How about , he is just a lying mother f***er suffering from dementia.
Perhaps McLame can be nominated for this award next time:

But I thought he did a nice job that time as host on SNL. I guess he does OK with cue cards.
Isn't McCain the same guy that told a soldier "We don't have a big enough Army and Marine Corps today" when explaining his opposition to the bill?
It's all about retention. We wouldn't want to give our troops the option to actually better themselvers, then we might not have enough soldiers. We want to make sure the military is their ONLY option.
McCain is not only pathetic, he's dangerous.

It's really sad. But McCan'twor
He's still just trying to make the morning edition of the newspaper.
OK, I don't have the best memory (grew up in the 70's). But damn, what the hell is INCENTIVIZING?
Is that really a word?
ms. huffington is 100% right MCcain is doing all of these flip flops miss statements and the msm saids nothing about it this is the sad thing matthews and cnn pass right over this and you know fox is a rag keith olberman seems the only one who take him to task and bill moyers is so good sorry i got off track there but we the people like this web site have to bring the msm to task for this and stop letting them get away with this a bunch of cowards all of them
Earlier there was a comment from Aquaboogey who is in Iraq. I thought it was great to have someone in the war able to comment here and be part of the political discussion going on here. Could we have a seperate section here on HuffPost dedicated to communicating with our people in Iraq and Afghanistan? Not simply reporting, but comments and questions and support going back and forth. I like it that HuffPost keeps reporting more about the wars and believe this would add to that. Is there any interest? Just think if we had had this during Vietnam.
He was against it before he was for it.
Has anyone seen this:

it's webb about mccain
DON'T WORRY. THE MEDIA WILL SPIN THIS AS AN OBAMA FLIP-FLOP. Then they'll pre-emptively attack Obama for not agreeing with McCan'tCam
HuffPo does it again. McCain spoke specifically of "tranferability of benefits" - something he has emphatically supported all along. The original GI Bill sponsored by Senator Webb Bill not include this until after massive campaigning by Republicans in the House and Senate.
tell the truth. mcKeatingFive lied about why he opposed this bill. then he didn't even vote at all, which is a recently growing habit. then he wants to take credit for a bill he did not vote for.
give it a rest.
Did you even watch the video? McCain campaigned heavily for tranferability of benefits. This bill has it, and it wouldn't have had it if it wasn't for House and Senate Republicans like John McCain. Of course he deserves credit.
Actually, according to McCain himself, he didn't support the bill because it was "too generous" and he was concerned that giving vets something for enlisting would discourage them from RE-enlisting again and again! Clearly, his concern was for the military power, not for our soldiers and for repaying them for their service.
What McCain and administration were MOST concerned about, WAS RETAINABILITY! That just makes my stomache churn. Kill them, maim them, don't give them decent care when they come home, but let's make sure NOT give them even a decent education when AND IF they come home, because if we do, they'll not stay in the service!! Why the Hell should they? We gave education grants and home loans to WWII and Korea era vets, but we can't do the same for these people who are fighting and illegal war?! Give me a break. That's very LEAST we can do for them.
