Now that Clinton is more or less history, the media propaganda machine is free to ignore every gaffe or fraudulent act by McCain and distort beyond all semblance to reality every gaffe and fraudulent act of Obama.
One axiom of mass communications: if you want a shift in attitudes from a target demographic, you must saturate that audience's messages with yours for at least 6 months before the desired change will take place. For the next four months we are likely to see only positive spin on McCain and the most damaging, or at least constant negative spin about Obama.
Of course all this depends upon whether or not one believes there is an organized conspiracy at the executive and editorial levels of the media conglomerates to make sure the White House stays Republican­...do conspiracies really happen or are those who believe in them just whackos?
