The media is begin soft on McCain because he is old or white. This man has said things that make him a big liar or he is having a lot of Senior citizens moments. How long is the media going to give him a free pass.

I hate to say it but I think this article is incorrect. McCain wasn't talking about Webb's GI bill but about his own bill that permits transfer of educational benefits.

According to Media Matters:

In particular, McCain's bill seeks to transfer educational benefits to the spouses and children of military members who spend at least six years in the military. Webb's bill as it stands now does not address the issue of transferability."

It is unclear what he is talking about )too littel of a clip) simply beacuse the Vote for the bill was yesterday and what he described does not exists at leat I assume by your relvations in any form. He is talking about some fictiocious bill, so he is suggesting that he is for somethig that does not even exis, so that is better? I mean I'm all for pixies, faires, and UFO's but the reality is they don't exist, nor does McCains make believe bill, still he confuses the subject by talking about it on the back of a new GI bill that was passed, leading people to believe he was for it, when in fact he was not.

You are 100% incorrect. The Senate approved S.22 that does include transferability of benefits. The additional benefits were added by Republican Senators Hagel and Warner in the Senate version this week.

But what was voted on was Webb's bill. Not McCain's non-existant bill. So why is McCain saying since he doesn't even bother to show up he has no idea what is being voted on in the senater. He doesn't work weekends. He has every known position on every possible law.

The man is a panderer.

Oh, he's going for the "nuance" flip-flop. He'll explain it all with the word "incentivizing."

It's obvious that McCain knows he can say almost anything and the MSM won't call him on it.

John! John! John! There is now this thing called YouTube. it in on the internet. You need a thing called a computer to get to the internet. Lots of people can do this; almost everyone under the age of 55. YouTube stores videos of everything. They store videos of what you say. They even have videos of the fire on the USS Forestall. You remember that, don't you? What is it like to "wet start" an A-4 Skyhawk? (but I digress...) They have videos from yesterday. They can keep track of what you said, because even a 3 year old can search and find stuff about you. You have to tell the truth, or at least the same story, or you will get caught. I would think a Naval Academy graduate would be smart enough to figure this out. You did graduate from the Naval Academy, didn't you? Daddy or granpapa didn't 'fix' things for you there, did they? (but I digress...) I know you graduated at the bottom of your class, so maybe it takes a little extra time. Anyway, the point I am trying to make is that you can't call yourself a maverick and a straight talker when people are quickly figuring out otherwise. If you say something different today than you did yesterday, people know. I know this worked for your senate campaigns but it won't work anymore.

youtube? come on. youtube and other sites cater to mostly the stupid. kucinich lays out a case for impeachment against cheney and bush, and it gets 40,000 views. meanwhile a guy getting hit in the nuts gets over 7 million. mccain is betting on people who dont watch the news, or read, or go to huffingtonpost. why else would he be given such a pass. he travels with a private army. says whatever he wants on any given day, and the msm does nothing. most of the people here would be better off leaving the computer with what they know and going out and speaking to people about the challenges we will face if mccain is elected. but it's easier to sit here and criticize from the keyboard. let's do something people. a revolution can never take place if we dont leave our homes and go make noise.

Senator Mc Cain expressed his opposition to the bill when it passed the the Senate the first time 75-22. He did not vote either time. When it passed the second time 92-6, his campaign co-chair, Jon Kyl of Arizona voted against it. I've grown accustomed to politicians disregarding those of us who served in ancient wars (WWII, Korea, and/or Vietnam), however, it takes a great deal of gall to have no concern or compassion for young Americans that are fighting the war THEY (Right Wing NEO-Nuts) started.

Because of the lack of respect that Republican Senators have for veterans, John Cornyn (R-TX) is in danger of losing his Senate seat to Rick Noriega (Democrat, LtCol US Army National Guard, Afghanistan Veteran). The latest poll shows Rick Noriega within 2 points of John Cornyn. If you are a veteran or are related to a veteran....and care about them......please support Rick Noriega to become the next US Senator from Texas. If you are from Texas, please provide any support you can. If you are not from Texas........just send money!!!

The GI Bill will hopefully help our troops learn that "incentivizing" is not a word.
