Common children lets sing> Altogether now to our dear leader Barak:

Darling you gotta let me know
Should I stay or should I go?
If I go there will be trouble
And if I stay it will be double."

Same people drunk on Obama juice, will get a hangover when 2009 comes and goes and U.S. is still in Iraq. Don't look for more than cosmetic changes from Obama because :
1: Campaign pormises are dime a dozen.
2. Obama is a faithful representative of American Empire. He'll do whatever is necessary to maintain American hegemony. Drawing down, maybe; leaving, not this guy.

3. There is no plausable Iraqi withdrawal scenario right now and there won't be one in 2009.
That's precisely why Bush First didn't go in: no good exit strategy. You lose if you leave, and you lose if stay.

This is a no-win situation. If he is not attacked, then he will be depicted at the "terrorists choice" with the accompanying "who would the terrorists choose" BS that we've seen before. If he is attacked I doubt that his safety can be guaranteed. Will he be counting on Blackwater to supply that protection?

Bush and the Evil Empire do not announce their trips in advance -- they sneak in and out under cover of darkness with all of the resources of the U.S. military and sympathetic Blackwater personnel.

Obama is no different than any other self-serving lying greed driven American politician. To hell witht he troops dying for Oil and Arms profits, to hell with the Billions borrowed to pay for the illegal occupation.

Obama is off to the Middle East to lick some butt in Israel - perhaps they can demostrate how they murder and maime Palestenian children for him.

Congress flushed the nation down the toilot long ago... the bill for Iraq will soon be due.... it is going to be funny watching Americans scramble arund like chickens wondering what happened when it all comes crashing down. You cannot murder untold thousands of innocent people for oil and expect there to be no Karmic consequnese. Its like a Nation of brain dead idiots.

Soon, he will be changing his position on Iraq. And then, the same people who supported him for being against the war in Iraq will fall in line and change their beliefs about staying in Iraq. He will find that things are much better in Iraq then he thought. He will find the Iraqi leaders, US generals and soldiers all believe the war is turned around and winnable. He will change his position from out in 16 months to out as quickly as possible while not surrendering the gains or jeopardizing the Iraqi people or government by withdrawing too quickly, McCain's policy. He will move his position on Iraq so close to McCain's that you won't be able to tell the difference.

Exactly. And Obama supporters will lap up his explanation like kittens do cream.

Related Amendment: S.Amdt. 643: To strike language that would tie the hands of the Commander-in-Chief by imposing an arbitrary timetable for the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq, thereby undermining the position of American Armed Forces and jeopardizing the successful conclusion of Operation Iraqi Freedom., amending H.R. 1591: U.S. Troop Readiness, Veterans' Care, Katrina Recovery, and Iraq Accountability....

I don't know how I can be any more clear UR. The proposed amendment was AGAINST imposing time lines.

Explain why the amendment was proposed by only Republicans including McBush and Lieberman?

Sen. Russ Feingold"s measure ordering Bush to withdraw most U.S. troops by July 1, 2007, Obama voted "no."
In July of 2004, Barack Obama told Boston Globe that the United States had an "absolute obligation" to remain in Iraq long enough to make it a success. The failure of the Iraqi state would be a disaster," It would dishonor the 900-plus men and women who have already died. . . . It would be a betrayal of the promise that we made to the Iraqi people, and it would be hugely destabilizing from a national security perspective."

In November of 2005, Obama argued in a speech before the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations that the US military should scale down its presence, but that US troops were "still part of the solution" in Iraq.

Again this is the same bill put forth by Kerry for IMMEDIATE withdrawal. 0bama never promised an immediate withdrawal. So what's your point?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:59 AM on 06/28/2008

He did promise to withdraw in 16 months. It's amazing, now those who were screaming for an immediate withdraw from Iraq and who were just barely able to tolerate a 16 month withdraw will be perfectly fine with him adopting the McCain policy! If he wins, there will be over 60,000 US military in Iraq on what are effectively permanent US bases at the end of his term.

Obama met with National Association of Evangelicals and other Christos freaks.Obama's
spokesperson said after the meeting:" "Reaching out to the faith community is a priority for Barack Obama and will be a priority under an Obama Administration.
This is one of several meetings he will have over the coming months with religious leaders." No reporter were allowed at this meeting.

Kerry's Anti Iraqi War Bill
OBAMA-NO.

Obama YES to confirm Condoleezza Rice as Secretary of State despite her integral role in selling the Iraq's WMD story.

Obama ENDORSED AND ACTIVELY CAMPAIGNED FOR LIEBERMAN and against anti-war Ned Lamont .

Obama voted YES on President Bush's class action bill that made it harder for victims of corporate greed to be compensated. It was opposed by most civil rights and consumer groups.

Obama YES on Bush's 2005 energy bill that included massive oil, coal, and nuclear subsidies.

Obama YES: to allow credit card companies to raise interest rates over 30 percent.

Obama is a Wright-wing lawyer, Chri$tian fundamentalist. Progressive? Only in America.

Lots of misrepresentations there, and irrelevant stuff, but the bottom line is that he is much better than the warmongering old geezer and a fool that the Republicans have nominated. So, 0bama it is, the next President of the United States - President Barack Hussein 0bama.

Well, not in my book. I am voting Green because I despise Obama supporters more than the candidate himself.
I image were Clinton to win this blog would be filled anyone-but- Clinton hate mongering and character assassination. Doubt it? Look at the picture of President Clinton on the top page of this sorry rag and read the bilious article and comments .

0bama voted no on the credit card bill because he thought 30% was TOO HIGH and the bill was written by the credit card companies. I must agree.

0bama also did not support the punitive bankruptcy law.

The energy bill was a mixed bag to be sure but it was the first bill to up CAFE standards on cars in 30 years. Here's the good, the bad and the ugly in the bill without the hyperbole.

0bama did not vote for Kerry's Iraq withdrawal bill because 0bama voted for time line for a withdrawal not an immediate withdrawal that Kerry put forward.

You must be URs buddy.

Thus far UncensoredReports has reported that 0bama is a Black Liberation Theologists, who loves Farrakhan, is an appeaser of B ush, is going to Afghanistan and Iraq to check out the people he is going to k_ill, he is controlled by some undisclosed secret group, and has voted against bringing troops home. Oh! he is also a racist.

And I thought Hannity and Limbaugh were hilarious when they called him a Marxist.

Look no hands! And to think 0bama won't need to bring a puppet master like Lieberman along with him to correct every "misstatement". Though it will be curious to see who he goes with to the war zones. My early guess would be that he travels with a congressional caucus including Joe Biden and Jim Webb. His visits will be covered with a great bit of intensity by the national media. Seeing 0bama in the war zone will solidify his credibility as Commander-in-Chief. 0bama's show of strength these last couple weeks has been quite impressive. He has ticked of myself and other grass roots progressives on a couple of issues but he has proven he is his own man. On the other hand McBush has just shown he will pander to anyone for one extra vote.
