Eight days ago in Jacksonville, Florida, Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) predicted to a crowd of supporters that he would soon face race-based attacks from the right:

Considering the mess we are in was created by rich conservative whites, it is hard to see the benefit of knocking Obama for being a liberal black.

You just know Roger Ailes would like to rollout all the Aunt Jemima, Tar Baby, Little Black Sambo, Stepin Fetchit, and Uncle Tom references in the traditional White Racist Psalm Book ... but the fact that strategy might work against his goals in the long run, despite his pleasure in sneaking worms like Norquist through to do his dirty work, must be causing him fits. Exactly! Am I missing something here.I spend a fortune on spray tan..... I spend hours sprawled out slathered in Factor 20 trying to get a deeper tan....I always use aftersun to preserve my tan... I follow the magazine and TV pundits advice on what to wear to show off a tan and note their comments that white is good(Barack always wears a nice white shirt to show off his tan... it... makes your teeth appear whiter, you look healthy,relaxed, affluent, glamorous and dead sexy with a tan.... .just like Barack does.It is true... a tan does all these things ...Look at Barack and then look at people like pasty faced McCain and O'Reilly.E­ven the late Duchess of Windsor said "You can never be too thin or too brown" Norquist was paying him a compliment, admiring him. He was being nice when he mentioned Barack's tan....the Kerry comment, not so much.I would like to thank every individual at Fox etc.and Mr.Norquis­t for complimenting Barack on his tan and promoting the tanning industry and send each of them,all in separate envelopes per item every advert,article related to tanning I can find.Troub­le is it may block up their mail system .especially if everyone did. it at the same time......­.....

Of course not. Fox News and other conservative shows won't touch what Norquist said or acknowledge it because they'll be forced to admit that Sen. Obama was correct, justified in his comments/warnings, and they were wrong for criticizing him for what he said.

No, in fact Norquist's comments were not a race based attack. They were an attack upon Obama's politics where his skin tone was mentioned. The left should not indulge in wild misinterpretations like this. Next we'll be calling "bitter" an "elitest slur". If nothing else let's keep our stance as the people who can speak and understand English.

There's PLENTY of actual racism going on in American in general and in this election. No need to make it up or lay false charges.
