Mcain Heckled
McCain gave a speech at the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials' 25th annual conference today, in an effort to court a key, swing-voting constituency. McCain's speech, however, was interrupted at least three times by protesters. One protester was particularly vocal, holding up a large pink sign that says 'McCain equals' war in Spanish, and shouting "your silence is consent to war crimes" as they escorted her out of the hall. Another protester interrupted the end of McCain's remarks, and the Senator can be seen holding up his hands in exasperation.

My friends . . . .Bush / Cheney did not go to war all by themselves. . . . It took my congressperson and my Senator TO VOTE AN OKAY FOR BUSH'S WAR. . . . If our very own lawmakers had voted against it, none of it would have happened. Two stupid, crazy, nut jobs in the white house is one thing . . . . but how about all of Congress and the Senate? Put the blame truly where it belongs.. . .
It is time to vote ALL of those stupid, stupid people OUT OF OFFICE!!!

"The patriot must not just accept, but in his or her own way protect the ideals that gave birth to our country: to stand against injustice and for the rights of all and not just one's own interest."

Those are McCain's words and I applaud those patriots who protest this immoral, repulsive, reprehensible war that Bush started changing his rationale for same so many times that we will need a commission to understand "What Happened".

I am still waiting for the arrest and indictment of Cheney for outing an undercover CIA operative. As Bush 41 stated any one who releases confidential information on CIA operations is a traitor.

Code Pink infiltrated McCain's schmooze-fest...they're following him around and making a ruckus.

Liz Hourican.....look her up. Brave woman.

For the last 8 years the majority of Republican rallies have carefully screened those attending to make sure they were party loyalists.

They are so used to this well planned crowd manipulation where is looks like everyone loves them, that when a protester does manage to slip through the screen, they're not quite sure what to do about it.

How many foreign language signs can we come up with to say McCain=Fearmonger, McCain=WWIII
McCain=Neocon Shill

The war is the number one issue in this election. Are you for more war and continuing to go in debt $30 billion a week for the war? Is it okay with you that the value of our dollar is falling in the world market because of the massive debt we have assumed for the war? How long and how much are you willing to go in debt for this war?

My Friends I really wish they would keep those "flower children" out of the rooms when I am speaking. Can't they go find a "Woodstock" concert to attend?

Signed,
Senator John McGaffeAlot

Her sign said McCain = Guerra (McCain = War). Not a bad argument.

Kudos to those hecklers! We should all be protesting and heckling Bush and Bush2.0 at every opportunity. These warmongers need to know that the American people are fed up.

Those women were protesting , as we should have done long ago... McCain and Bush are one in the same..the republicans have never been about the people...it's always about the money.. our young men that are now fighting and dying for our country because of a lie ...and some people have the nerve to continue to listen and vote for this old fool...as tho he's gonna say something new...Yes McBush is a change you can believe in ..war changes the lives of many..you can believe that!

bla, bla, bla, it is always the republicans this the republican that, Bush this, Bush that, what about the Democrats? What about the Democratic Congress just approving the WAR funding. This is no longer Bush's WAR, this is the CONGRESS and SENATES WAR. Remind me who is running the House and Senate?

Those women, honestly are stupid, why not protest outside the House of Representatives or the Senate when they were funding it last week. This is so stupid, Obama is for the WAR dudes, he voted for the FUNDING, so you might want to say, Obama is just like McCain and Bush. It is McBama Bush. If you are going to protest, at least protest at the correct location, the CONGRESS and the SENATE. This goes down in the dumb protesting section.

Gift is German for poison, appropriate for this comment. Spin away, this is a republican war and they should wear it around their necks forever. The troops are there and the Rs in the Senate can and do block every try to get this illegal occupation ended so you have to feed etc. the troops wherever they are. You can complain about how this invasion was not budgeted, but that was how the republicans wanted it.

To imply that the war is is the fault of the Democrats, Congress or anybody else is absurd and displays for the world how much of a moron that you are. Apparently YOU belong in the dumb protest section, Dude.
Bush is no longer the commander in chief? He's not responsible for anything he does is he? And you right wing dimwits wonder why the Republican brand is destroyed.
And what are the Democrats supposed to do, cut the funding and stop the flow of fuel, food, ammunition medical supplies for our troops? Just leave them stranded over there swinging in the wind with no means to defend themselves? That's the kind of idiotic stunt that republicans would do. Maybe Brownie can send them some FEMA trailers - maybe even a double-wide like the one you live in!
Now maybe your infantile perception might have some basis in reality if the Democrats had a filibuster-proof majority in the legislative branch - which they will next January.
Given the huge quantity of Latinos in the military I think these folks have more than earned the right to protest Republican incompetence.

It must be difficult being a Republican this year, isn't it?

Listen. All I really want to hear from Republicans right now is an apology.

Then I want you all to STFU for a while and try not to interfere as democratic administration will try -- try -- to clean up the God-awful mess you've left for us.

Seriously: Apogize first, then have the good grace to be quiet.

Why didn't YOU protest outside the house and senate? This was in your face protest. Nothing wrong with that.

I protest you, for voting for george w bush twice. The worse president in the history of this country, a war criminal and a swaggering daddy boy cheerleader. Who are you and how the..F..do you have the nerve to tell anybody what to do?

Can we at least get the full report on this site so it can move out of the hack status. The missing data is that the protesters were not members of the conference and the conference leaders publicly apologized for their behavior.

I noticed that the organizers/coordinators of this event apologized to McCain for this woman's statement.
I wonder when they will demand an apology (from McCain or any other warmonger) for the two wars of choice that have killed thousands of Americans and probably a million innocent civilians.

I just love how childish liberals act when they don't get their way, I live in Minnesota and expect to see a whole bunch of whiners when the GOP converntion comes. It's not a liberal protest until they cause havoc.

Um, could we have a consistent theme to your "message"? What, exactly, are you talking about? Who didn't get their way? So, people who protest someone are "whiners"? People who protest the illegal war in Iraq are whiners? So, the Iraqis, who are just, what, jealous of our freedom, right, they're whiners too? So, the people who cast off the yoke of imperial British power a couple hundred years ago--all whiners right?

Keep voting for Republicans, pal, it's been working out great, so far, eh? Gas prices, the mortgage meltdown, the Iraq quagmire, etc. But hey, that's prolly just more whining. You love it when liberals are childish when they don't get their way? I love it when you fill up your massive gas guzzler at $100 a pop. Love *that* pal...

Yawn. I'm sure this is probably lost on you but you are the one who is whining. Poor McCain, the protesters aren't treating him nice. Wah, Wah, Wah...

The only whining I hear are from Republicans trying to deflect the fact that they have destroyed this country, our int'l standing, our freedoms, our economy, our security ,and our wallets. The only thing they have left is to "play whine" that it must be the democrats fault
