Anti-Obama Vandalism: City Vehicles Spray Painted With Racial Attacks

The Orlando Police Department found dozens of city owned vehicles vandalized Saturday.

The vandal or vandals appear to have political intentions; most of the vehicles were spray painted with anti Obama sayings, with 'Obama' misspelled several times. Some of their vehicles had their gas caps removed.

Officials said that gas caps were removed from several of the vehicles and they aren't sure if gas was stolen or if something could have been added to the tanks that will damage the engines.

More details from WFTV Orlando:

Phrases including "Obmama smokes crack" and others phrases with racial slurs were written in blue spray paint on the white city cars and trucks.

Other vehicles appeared to have had their gas tanks tampered with.

Along with the paint, hundreds of business cards were left on windshields.

The cards contain criticism of Obama on one side, and support for Hillary Clinton and her family on the other side.

The same cards were left on channel nine vehicles in Daytona Beach several weeks ago.

The vandalism happened the same night the Obama campaign kicked off its Florida organization with parties across the state.

There is definitely a very-disturbing tension building up in this country as "the election show" that has been bumbling-along for the last two years runs headlong toward (presumably) actually becoming an election.

Consider this: in the last two shows, there actually was some semblance of debate and so-on right up to the point at which the Bush people ... stole the show.

Today, you have a long-running show that makes absolutely no pretenses whatsoever about being representative, about actually talking about the concerns of middle-class people who are finding themselves going-broke, or about actually being anything more than a billionaire's empty talk.

The "plebes" of a country are by-and-large powerless in the hands of their government; more or less "a bone to be chewed" by its war-machine. But that government's power REALLY DOES come from them, and those who "merely assume" that their position is unassailable might be totally surprised.

For example: what if, by gosh and by golly, a Third Party Candidate won the popular vote by such an obvious popular mandate that you'd really have to think twice before programming those machines to say that John McCain won? What if, quite by accident, you caused the election to become Real?

On the local Orlando Time Warner / Brighthouse TV news channel, they only reported "vandalism of a political nature". They did briefly show a vehicle barely long enough to make out a misspelled "Obama". It is a headline channel but they didn't mention racist or anti-Obama slogans. Accurate reporting.­..weather on the "ones".
