Bill Clinton Says Obama Must 'Kiss My Ass' For His Support

Bill Clinton is so bitter about Barack Obama's victory over his wife Hillary that he has told friends the Democratic nominee will have to beg for his wholehearted support.

Mr Obama is expected to speak to Mr Clinton for the first time since he won the nomination in the next few days, but campaign insiders say that the former president's future campaign role is a "sticking point" in peace talks with Mrs Clinton's aides.

The Telegraph has learned that the former president's rage is still so great that even loyal allies are shocked by his patronising attitude to Mr Obama, and believe that he risks damaging his own reputation by his intransigence.

A senior Democrat who worked for Mr Clinton has revealed that he recently told friends Mr Obama could "kiss my ass" in return for his support.

I dont see Bills lack of support as a hindrance to Obama. In fact it might help with some sectors of voters, namely republicans who are on the fence (who for the most part hate anything with the name Clinton attached to it) , and independents who are sick of the Bush / Clinton
era. It is said he might help garner some of those white working class folks but Hillary can take care of that and if Obama picked a VP like Webb he could also grab many of those folks.

I would caution anyone who would want to believe this to look at a few things.
1. It's the Telegraph - as someone said earlier, an Enquierer-type rag that has been known to "stretch" the truth. (Is the Telegraph owned by Murdoch?)
2. Which "close friend", do you know, would throw a friend under the bus like that? No one would put that out. Especially to a near-tabloid paper.
3. No actual source names were given.

To be honest, Bill and Hillary are divisive figures as their track record has proven. There is no reason to believe that their divisive behavior has changed all of a sudden. When the Clinton's do not get what they want, they destroy things. Hillary's top financial backers have been somewhat cold towards Obama, Bill is mad at Obama, and I have every reason to believe that Hillary feels the same. However, in Hillary's case, she has to step up and give some support to keep hope alive for a 2012 run in case Obama does not win.

A person's character is shown not when things are going their way, but how they behave when things are not to their advantage. It is a shame that Bill Clinton's behavior is shown to be even lower than expected when the country stands so much to lose by a McCain presidency. Bill does not give a "flying f@#k about his country. He is too worried about fulfilling all the promises he made to his secret donors once his wife was elected president. It is time for Bill to keep doing his charity work and chasing skirts.
